this is the ongoing thread for our July/ August Horror Pick - The Mariner by Ade Grant. I'm hoping the author might pop in to talk about the book and answer some questions. Otherwise this thread is for ongoing discussion as you read. No spoilers please - I haven't read it yet for a start!

Well I made a start today. Very impressed with the quality of writing, and I think I might be able to see why it's been a little controversial. More on the spoilers forum when I get further into it
