I'm looking for recommendations in the slipstream/new weird genre. I became a big fan of Jeff Vandermeer a few months back, haven't yet read any China Mieville. Female authors would be a bonus! Thanks in advance. :)

I highly, highly, highly recommend Ice by Anna Kavan. It is an absolutely incredible book that is both beautiful and chilling, and realizes the slipstream idea of slipping in and out of dream-like, hallucinatory reality better than anything I've read. It is a very intense book though, and comes with content warnings for abuse, violence, and a general scary, oppressive tone.I would love to hear others' recommendations for new weird, as most of the weird fiction I read comes from the 30s-70s. Danielewski and Murakami might count as well?
