Reading the Classics discussion

I want to read my first Jane Austen book. Any suggestions?

Pride & Prejudice is probably most often chose though Sense & Sensibility is a good one to start with too.

Pride and Prejudice with no doubt! ;) my girlfriend is reading it now (it's her first Austen) and she's enjoying it so much!!

Well, my Austen's favourite is Persuasion and I often suggest it.

I love Persuasion very much, but I’d not start with it as my first Austen.

I just recently read Emma and enjoyed it.

Definitely Pride and Prejudice!! Emma is a great one to read after that!
