I'm starting this one today. But my library only had it in ebook (no audiobook version available) so I'll probably be a little slow.
I would like to read this one, it's where I got up to before giving up years ago. But I always intended to get to it. I'll try and fit it in! :)
Whoops, didn't check to see if this was going ahead! I've just finished Twelve Kings, so I'll shove this one in the gap! And hopefully read the last one with you guys (I will finish this series!)@Diana For the love of all that's good and right, please tell me there are no fairies in this book!

In this one, there are. A lot. But I'm pretty sure this book wrapped up the fairy arc so there will be no more in the last one.
Up to Ch. 4... Typical Sookie drama... Let's see where it goes... And why does everyone act as if they have no sense whatsoever?!
Yeah, I just finished it and I have the feeling Harris had no idea where to go with the plot and just kind of cobbled parts together trying to make it work... I think she was not successful, sorry to say... I am even kind of glad that the next book is the last one, because if there were more, even my determination to end the series might have been challenged... It feels like in order for the characters to have stayed likable to the reader, she should have ended it about 4-5 books back...

5 chapters in. I'm currently writing a different version of this in my head where Alcide and Jannalynn are both kicked out of the pack for being stupid and/or stupidly vicious and a smart female alpha takes over. I'm enjoying it more than the original.

Just finished. 2.5 stars. God, I hate it in a book when I start predicting every fricking thing that's going to happen just before it does! I would've used the fairy love token to send all the fae back to fairyland about halfway through the book - screw them.
I ended up disliking both Sookie and Eric in this, with their 'test of love' for each other. Why do so many vampires who have lived for centuries act like teenage boys? You'd think that they'd have gained some wisdom over the ages!
I'm going to read The Tombs of Atuan and then hit Dead and Gone. it shouldn't take long (I love Le Guin's writing, and it's a slim book).
