Off the top of my head, I'd recommend Sherman Alexie for this one, but I'm sure you can add many more to the list. I will probably read Mongrels by Stephen Graham Jones if I don't read it in September for my local author.

Jamie (indigenousalchemy) Lots to recommend here, but a couple I could recommend against, only because they are not actually Indigenous, but claim they are.
Fake - Joseph Boyden, Ward Churchill, Margaret B. Jones, Forrest (Asa Earl) Carter, Nasdijj, and many others. If you want to double check, it is usually a good sign if a writer states they are from a particular Native community, or enrolled in a specificTribe.
