Lots to recommend here, but a couple I could recommend against, only because they are not actually Indigenous, but claim they are.
Fake - Joseph Boyden, Ward Churchill, Margaret B. Jones, Forrest (Asa Earl) Carter, Nasdijj, and many others. If you want to double check, it is usually a good sign if a writer states they are from a particular Native community, or enrolled in a specificTribe.
