Do you keep writing a book if a famous author just published a book with kind of similar elements?
Or do you change your story or elements?

Depends on how far into the book you are and how invested you are in the story.

I've been working on a story that involves a celebrity paedophile ring, and then the trouble in Hollywood broke out. I was tempted to stop, but I've decided to go on with it.

My story is about time travel to the future when Mars is inhabited by humans but most of the story is on Earth. Artemis is about Humans living on the Moon. But my story is based is in Morocco (my country) and his MC is an Arab, which got me frowning really.

I'm not too far in though, maybe I'll do a brainstorming session and see if I can change some things.

I have a book about the possible difference about Abraham and Sodom. I don't include hatred of any sexual preference. I want to tell my educated theory about that time. An interesting alternative. Publish my book. "Good And Bad Men."
