FebruaryI had a lot of library checkouts this month, but I was hoping to take 4 books off the mountain this month and as of this afternoon, I did!
I’m pleased with my progress so far. If I keep up this pace, I’ll be on to the next peak this summer!
9. Weird Things Customers Say in Bookshops 2/17 (iPad)
10. Trapped in an 80s Teen Movie 2/18 (iPad)
11. Dispatches From The Edge: A Memoir Of War, Disasters, And Survival 2/12-2/23 (Paperback)
12.Paradise 2/4-2/25 (Hardcover)
What did you think of Dispatches From The Edge? I'm curious because it's been on my TBR pile for a couple of years now without me getting around to it.
Kirsten wrote: "What did you think of Dispatches From The Edge? I'm curious because it's been on my TBR pile for a couple of years now without me getting around to it."It’s really well-written. He goes back and forth between his reporting from disaster areas to the deaths of his father and brother. I am biased when it comes to Anderson, but I do think it’s worth the read!
March13. Salvage the Bones 3/1-3/2 - I’m DNF’ing this one - I’m really uncomfortable with animal cruelty and would rather not subject myself. Off the mountain it goes!
Ugh, totally understand that. I'll probably never even touch it knowing that. I wish I could return Kindle books months after buying them and never opening them. Sigh.
15. How to Build a Girl 4/15-4/16 - DNF after trying the audiobook. The hard copy I own is coming off the mountain!
May16.The Gunslinger 5/1-5/5 (Kindle)
17. Midair 5/6-5/8 (Kindle)

19. Evelyn, After 5/26-5/27 (Kindle)
20. Ex Libris: Confessions of a Common Reader 5/21-5/28 (Paperback)
I made no progress in June! 28 books in 6 months is totally doable, if I can just stop with the library visits and Libby checkouts.
July21. The Marvelous Misadventures of Ingrid Winter 7/8-7/15 (Kindle)
22. The Rosie Project 7/22-7/29 (Hardcover)

24. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn 8/9-8/17 (Own Nook version, listened to audiobook)
25. Rooms 8/19-8/20 DNF at 38%. I think I’m just not a fan of Lauren Oliver. Tried the audio; the hard copy I bought in 2017 comes off the mountain!
