Now this book flew into my top ten of all time. I loved the way it was written and the nostalgia factor. The characters I found relatable and there was never a dull moment. I also feel the concept is exciting especially with the development of technology, so I was very excited to hear they would be making a film of it! I have just seen the new trailer and so far I am a little disappointed. The characters were not as I had envisioned and I know they would never be exactly the same as what went on in my head, but I feel that it could have been a little closer to the book. Thoughts?

Okay, I'm reading Ready Player One for the second time in less than a month! I've a favorite for sure!
Who is exciting for the movie and all the 80's pop culture references?!??!

I added a new trailer to the video section of the group. I’m not happy.....too many changes already!
I love this book!! My sister had been hounding me to read it for a while. Finished it in a few days. Then I suggested it to my oldest son. He read it twice. We were excited for the movie, but since the trailers came out, we're a bit skeptical.
I swear I must be the undoubted king of unpopular opinions since, I loved the movie, but hated the book. The movie was actually what I wanted the book to be, oddly enough.
I want to read the book. Is the book good?
I’ve literally read it 3 times now and know I’ll go back for a third. Granted, I’m an 80s baby so it’s a little more nostalgic for me. But all around amazing for sure!
The movie is a good movie, but I liked the book more. Plus, the movie made the references more present day. I wish they could of brought back the 80s because I never go to experience that.
So, I don't think I ever said it...but the movie let me down. It didn't bring the book to life like I wanted it to, and I walked away really upset. But, since then I've read the book two more times. And I realized a lot of the parts that I love are a lot of describing that wouldn't work good on screen. So, I think I'm going to dive back in and watch the movie again....... This feels like introducing myself at AA or something, but yeah....we're going to give it a go.... ugh! Wish me luck! haha
I just re-watched the movie and I have to say it has grown on me. I prefer the book(of course) but really like the movie as well. I've listened to the book about 5 times on audio now, and plan to give it another go soon though so I can also lead right into Ready Player Two as well! Have anyone given that one a go?
I haven't seen the movie but I've heard that it was kinda lame. But then the book was no better. It's the story of this hyper fanboy who likes a girl and follows the structure of every adventure novel complete with the 'MC almost looses but then has a trick up there sleeve' scene. Remember the part where he just so happened to win an extra life? I could go on about how much the book sucks but then I'll be here all day.
