Definitely a bit more Harry Potter this one I’ve just finished the first book so I’m in the mood for that 😂😂😂
that's so perfect Ahdam since I'm so in the mood for Harry Potter-y books and since there is "Academ" in the title... school of magic ! yeaaahh ! I think I'm going to start a bit early because I remember being quite slow to read the first one.By the way I don't remember a lot from book 1 (just someone being mistaken), if someone would be kind enough to summarize what happened I would really appreciate !
I’ll have a go at summarising I can’t do it now since I’m on my phone besides it might help me remember what happened in these books as well
There is this website as well. Ahdam you might be able to add in some more details but this is a good summary to work off of imo.http://codexalera.wikia.com/wiki/Furi...
Thank you Hailee ! This is really helpful. I didn't remember that (view spoiler)You don't have to trouble yourself anymore Ahdam, thanks nonetheless :)

You're welcome Elinor. I tend to leave so much time between books in series that I constantly need help to remember what happened previously. If a plot summary exists for a book then I'm an expert at tracking it down. I'd actually already found this in preparation for carrying on the series myself and I only read the book in July, that's how bad my memory is!
Ahdam wrote: "Normally I would say I was just about to post this but I never started it so yeah 😂😂😂"Haha hopefully you'll see it as me saving you a job rather than stealing it from you ;-)
To be fair my coordination skills have been on a slight decline over the summer so I guess your right 😀😀

So we've got 58 chapters, plus a prologue and an epilogue. What about this schedule :20 - 23 september : prologue + chapter 1 to 10
24 - 30 september : chapter 11 to 23
1 - 7 october : chapter 24 to 36
8 - 14 october : chapter 37 to 49
15 - 20 : chapter 50 to the end
That's a lot of reading per week... *scratchs head*
Schedule looks good Elinor. I know I might not be sticking very firmly to the schedule but I thought I'd give my "opinion" anyway:With 58 chapter that is about 2 chapters a day (to get it read in a month) so it is inevitable that it will mount up to quite a few chapters a week I suppose.
Are you ok with not having a gap between Academ's Fury and the next book in the series?
I'm not sure I can follow this schedule either. I might even have to start early to have more chances to finish before the next one starts. I don't know yet if I will do the next one either... if I am finished by then, I will probably do, but since it's really not sure...
Oh nooo, don't leave us alone! 😱2 Chapters a day sound managable, especially after book 1 was a rather quick read :)
I will try my hardest ! ^^ I remember book 1 to be quite a long read back then. But it was a few years ago and I've read a lot of things in english since then !
I’m gonna try and follow this BR since here are some interesting developments I want to talk about here as well as book 3

I used sticky notes to mark the chapters today and I noticed that the parts have differnet length because some chapters are longer than others. May I suggest some changes? 😅 I don't want to mess with your schedule Elinor and will delete it if you don't like it!
With the time we have until the Buddy Read for book 3 starts we could do 25 pages each day (or 50 pages every other day) except Sunday. A concept the great Empress Virginie suggested once, to use sundays as "catch-up-days"
It would look like this:
Week 1 - Prologue - Chapter 8
Thursday 20. Sep. - Prologue - Chapter 2
Saturday 22. Sep. - Chapter 3 - 8
Week 2 - Chapter 9 - 21
Tuesday 25. Sep. - Chapter 9 - 13
Thursday 27. Sep. - Chapter 14 - 18
Saturday 29. Sep. - Chapter 19 - 21
Week 3 - Chapter 22 - 33
Tuesday 02. Oct. - Chapter 22 - 24
Thursday 04. Oct. - Chapter 25 -28
Saturday 06. Oct. - Chapter 29 - 33
Week 4 - Chapter 34 - 49
Tuesday 09. Oct. - Chapter 34 - 38
Thursday 11. Oct. - Chapter 39 - 44
Saturday 13. Oct. - Chapter 45 - 49
Week 5 - Chapter 50 - Epilogue
Tuesday 16. Oct. - Chapter 50 - END
I only listed every other day because a) I'm lazy and b) everyone could decide for themself wether to read all chapters on Tuesday or read some of them Tuesday and some Wednesday (Plus Traitor's Blade Schedule is for Monday, Wednesday and Friday 😉)
So. I'm in for this one also. Read book 1 a whole lot of time back and was waiting to continue with the series. You girls just let me know what schedule we're going with and I'll comply. :D
Laura wrote: "@Ahdam - They've practically got the stuff down to a science. 😀"Haha, I'm sorry, I'm a little obsessed 😅
This schedule is perfect, I bow to you, oh great Planner and Scheduler ! (plus your schedule looks easier than mine. don't know how it can be but it definitly does ! ^^)
Schedule looks great Anni. Since I'm in such a slumpy reading mood this month I expect I'll end up following this schedule myself as well now. Although whether I'll be in the mood to jump straight into book 3 I don't know... I suppose I'll have to see how I feel closer to the time.Btw for the tuesday in week 5 I'm presuming you mean the 16th?
Hailee wrote: "Schedule looks great Anni. Since I'm in such a slumpy reading mood this month I expect I'll end up following this schedule myself as well now. Although whether I'll be in the mood to jump straight ..."Ah, of course 🙈 That's what happen when you don't pay attention while copy&pasting!
I'm glad you guys like it!
So how does this work girls? As we are due to start tomorrow. Are we reading the set chapters and then post a comment about them?
Or do you do it another way?
I’m gonna follow you guys as you go through since I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on specific part of the story
Laura wrote: "So how does this work girls? As we are due to start tomorrow. Are we reading the set chapters and then post a comment about them?"
Yes :) Schedule-wise we'll talk about the Prologue and Chapter 1-2 tomorrow and Friday. You can post comments on the 'whole part' or for each chapter, or whatever you want. The beneficial part for reading with a schedule is that more people are at the same part of the book and that there's more to discuss ;)
Of course it's only a suggestion, you don't need to follow it!
That's ok Anni. This is just like the single BRs I normally do where we split the book and read at the same time. I'm perfectly fine with it. :)

Now who's the creepy stalker? 😜"
Well technically you started it so the jokes on you
Prologue - Chapter 2:The beginning was a little confusing for me, it's not like I read Book 1 a long time ago, but it still took a while to get back into the world... So far I don't have much to say, but (view spoiler)

I agree I was somewhat thrown by the beginning as well.
Chapter 15 (30%) loving the soup conversation! Chuckling out loud. Continuing to enjoy the audio. Listening lessens the tedium of hanging out the washing.

I really liked (view spoiler) as well ! At first I was like (view spoiler)
Yeah I really liked the beginning especially when we see new characters and there roles definitely improve overtime
Prologue - chapter 2 - I felt quite the same as the rest of you and was perhaps a little bit more confused as I have read book 1 a looong time back.I expect (view spoiler)

Just started... I am glad we are reading this! It reads really easily and goes fast, despite it being a large book:) I love the little guy who is hanging out with Tavi! They are having a hard time in school though...:(
I have been super busy these last few days and have read practically nothing. However I did start this yesterday and read the prologue and chapter 1
