Rain is gradually getting better. She is still a little mean to Ethan but less mean! She still uses him and criticizes him is a nasty tone but he is sticking up for himself which I LOVE.
I really enjoyed the hospital scene when Ethan diagnoses his mother. He has grown so much it's incredible, especially now that Rain has let him.
I also sort of like how Rain is dealing with the whole I had sex with Liam whilst wasted out of my mind thing. She is scared and so is just avoiding it which is understandable. They haven't been dating long, they didn't use protection and it is a scary thing. But I say sort of like it because I just wish that she was a little nicer.
Maybe I am biased because I love Liam so much but she needs someone to talk to about it and he is the one to do that with (especially if she cant talk to hope because of her relationship with Ethan which I personally think is silly - they're still best friends). But, yeah, she should talk to Liam and I hate that she isn't. He is in exactly in the same boat she is; he is just as scared, if not more so. He needs to talk about it with Rain, because unlike her he doesn't have a best friend like Hope or even a parent to turn to.
I loved the diary entry at the end of this section too! It was so crucial because it shows how Ethan understands himself. It's just that others don't understand him. I love him so much and this diary entry shows how much he has grown. Or even that he has always been clever and strong, it's just that no one else saw that.

Haha!
I agree like it still feels unfinished, or unresolved.
The German analogy? Is that what you ware talking about in chapter 1-5? The stuff that's referenced in Ethan's journal?

Oh my gosh riiiight! I agree that was amazing! A good way to not only get Rain to understand Ethan but the reader to
