Standing at an impressive height of 6' 2", Marcus can be quite an intimidating person if one were to challenge him at anything at all. He thinks that having a clean appearance is everything so he tries to achieve that by combing his chocolate brown hair. If on some days he hasn't cut his hair for a while, he wears it in a low ponytail. For one thing, he's actually proud to be his mother and father's son. He did inherit their strange eyes after all. One being icy blue while the other looks like a startling emerald green.
His attire is often composed of tidiness and neatness, as if one were to attend a wedding. So Marcus tends to stick with the good ol' fashioned trench coat with a simple white shirt with practical pants. On most occasions, however, rarely does he wear the trench coat because it is often times too heavy for him to wear, so instead, he'll just stick with wearing a denim jacket. Marcus has an overall neat and tidy appearance most of the time you see him. However, usually his hair is in a mess so it comes rather hard to run a comb through to keep it tame.

{Personality}
Marcus is the kind of person who gets along with almost everyone what with his constant jokes here and there as well as his friendly nature in all. What happens, though, is when Marcus gets a tad bit carried away with his friends and dares them to do rather idiotic things like: seeing who can stuff their full of whip cream straight from the can, jumping off the docks in freezing cold water in the morning!, as well as seeing who could make the most roundest drifting circles in the parking lot. You know, stupid stuff like that. Even though Marcus is super friendly and helpful, it's really hard to impress him with anything. Whether that's people or hobbies or anything else, really. He has been quite taken with anything that goes fast however and most of his friends complain about it so much since he just loves the thrill of speed so much! Offer him a ride in '63 Mustang and he will gladly take your offer. His father often takes him to the drag strip to observe the racers. And one day, Marcus would very much like to be one of those racers. Don't know how he'll be able to do that but this boy has surprised plenty of people before. He can be super protective over his family, but play nice with both them and him, and you'll get along just nicely.

{History}
Since both Henry and Cleo had attended Rethorn Academy, it only seemed logical that their children should On over to the school as well. That is, if any one of them prove to have any sort of powers. Over time, it became clear that their children did actually have powers similar to their parents. Henry was able to bend light and shadows to create mirages, and Cleo could make blobs of color spurt out from her fingers. When Marcus was three years old, and was creating quite the mess on the dinner table, he was able to conjure a hopping little bunny since he was making a rabbit shake with his food. The bunny he had imagined was a simple form of 2-D and was black and white as well. And at that moment was when his parents overcame with joy and enrolled their firstborn to Redthorn when he came of age. His sister soon followed afterwards and they both were attending Redthorn.
Now being a seventh year, Marcus has thoroughly enjoyed his years at Redthorn. Was the majority of years run by stupidity? Of course they were! You can't very well say Marcus Fox without adding in stupid now can you? He's made some friends and enemies and while he can't really nail down making illusions faces, he still tries during class and hopes that by the time he graduates, he could be able to perform this ability.

Illusioner
Marcus has the ability to create three dimensional illusions. While his ability does look rather impressive while he holds small shows for the kids at Redthorn, it takes quite a lot out of him for just performing a simple background mixed with vibrant colors. Small and medium sized animals aren't a problem for him to perform. But one day, he would like perfect making a faces. But not having a photographic has proven to be quite difficult in order to achieve this.

{Appearance}
Being a man of importance, Nicholas is rather refine and wears a tailored black suit along with nicely fitted pants. His dark brown hair is combed and to his great pleasure, his old eyes have a certain youth-like spark to them, to which some may call a mischievous appearance overall. His stone hard face can slowly transform into that of enjoyment, to most people's surprise. He stands at an average height of six feet, plus a couple of centimeters. Nicholas can always be seen with his cane, a cigarette, and a nice cup of freshly made orange juice.

{Personality}
Nicholas is not one to be trifled with. He can quite literally make you do things you have no control over, should you displease or disrespect him in any way. He is rather stern and most of the students heed his advice whenever he offers it. Needless to say, Nicholas doesn't always have such a grumpy composure. He is quite a nice fellow, once you get to know him. Often times, he can be rather loud and joyous whenever he becomes excited about what he had just read or a new discovery popping into his head.

{History}
Nicholas was born into a rich family deep in the heart of the city of London. The Cores were one of the most popular and wealthy families in the glorious city and have remained so for more than two hundred years. His super super super old great-grandfather had the ability to mesmerize as well as detect jewels and gold from deep within the earth. So he used his abilities in order to start off his future family with plenty of money. Funnily enough, the precious items Nicholas's great-grandfather found in the olden days, are still being used by himself and his siblings today.
When Nicholas was much younger, he was reckless. So much so that he was landing himself in prison every few months. He made bad deals with men in the gambling dens and it nearly cost him is life. It was when he was on the run from a treacherous gang that he used his ability for the second time in public to help him escape. He stopped twenty men in their tracks and ran for dear life. Thankfully giving the men a false identity, he was hunted fruitlessly. And that was when his dear sister suggested that he should retreat to the academy. He was a recent graduate at the time and eventually gave in to the idea that he could perhaps find a job at the academy. Though, this meant he would have to leave the girl he loved and the comforts from home. But then he'd be safe at the same time. . . A few weeks later, Nicholas staged his death and his girlfriend thought he was truly dead. But the next morning, Nicholas was not in the next life, but was working as a library assistant in Redthorn. Forty years later, Nicholas has taken over as the librarian and is thoroughly enjoying every second of it. Even shushing the loud students gives him great pleasure.

Mesmer
Having this ability has always come with a price for the Core family. Each and everyone of his ancestors have had this ability for as long as anyone could remember and they always each other the same thing: never display it in front of anyone other than your family. That is, it's suggested that you shouldn't but many members of the family have actually shown their ability in front of strangers. Nicholas was one of the youngsters who decided to show a girl, whom he was courting at the time,and showed her what he could do. It mainly involves her jumping up and down tirelessly and she admits that even to this day, she didn't feel the least bit tired. Nicholas, on the other hand, was quite exhausted and headed home soon afterwards. Now that Mister Core has grown and matured, he can now mesmerize people and animals with ease. Anything with a mind of it's own is what he can control. Even from a long distance of about fifty feet, he can still manipulate your mind. Well, he has to see you before he can use his ability. And should he choose to, he can mesmerize multiple people at once.

{Appearance}
Having an odd color hair has always been normal for Scarlett. Especially when it's an awesome combination of black and silver (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] like her parents. Unlike her mother who wears her hair in a bob, Scarlett tends to have her hair near her waist. Whenever it becomes windy, she always wears it in a ponytail. As far as height goes, she stands at five, eight and prays she could grow taller. Whenever Scarlett gets the chance to not wear her uniform, she can be seen with a flowly, floral pattern attire. It's very comfortable and in Scarlett's opinion, quite fun to wear as well. And it goes even better with a pair of military boots.

{Personality}
Scarlett is a very shy girl and isn't always the first to strike up a conversation. What tends to happen is that once she gets to know you over the next few months, she'll eventually warm up and will consider you a friend. So much so where she'll be the first to talk and won't be quite as scared or shy. If sarcasm never existed, Scarlett wouldn't exist. Be sarcastic is one of the things she's made up of! Even though she does keep her thoughts, opinions, and jokes to herself, anyone that knows her well enough is bound for a lot of sarcastic jokes here and there.

{History}
Living with her abnormal parents has always been normal for our little student at Redthorn. Mr. and Mrs. Armitage were also borne with powers that were beyond explanation to humanity. Fortunately for them, their abilities weren't all that extravagant so there was no need to move to a remote location on the other side of the world. For Mr. Armitage, his ability is to bend light to his will, while for his wife, she can communicate with any sort of animal you can think of. You see? Totally and completely harmless. Well, until Scarlett inherited the ability of her mother's and had called a huge amount of small critters while she and her mother were shopping for groceries. It was astounding that such a small toddler could babble the language of mice, rabbits, ferrets, and the like. Her mother quickly told the animals to scatter back to where they came from and decided that her daughter should be trained immediately! Years later, and now that Scarlett has had a lot more practice and skill in her power, both parents decided to send her to the well known school called Redthorn. Where they both had attended in their younger years. From the age of twelve, Scarlett has learned all sorts of the subjects in the school and is grateful to have been able to find a place where she can be herself in a place where most are like her.

She inherited the ability from her mother who is an expert when it comes to chatting with animals. So far, Scarlett speaks fluent bird, mouse, wolf, squirrel, hedgehog, beaver, and horse.

Kael has no problem admitting that perhaps his style is a bit outdated but he likes it. He almost always wears his light brown hair by the nape of his neck and can be seen with unruly strands of bangs dangling. Occasionally, Kael dyes his hair all sorts of colours! Sometimes with a mixture of black and pink, or green and white, or just a solid color. That is to say that his mother only allows him to dye his hair once a month, so he has to find a color that really suits him. Standing at a height of six feet one, is not uncommon in his family. Most of his relatives are over six feet and are much taller than him. Not only did he inherit his family's height, but their gray, green eyes. While some do have a hazel tint, the majority has gray with a charming mixture of green. As for attire, Kael enjoys wearing comfortable pants from Target along with Converse or any other shoe that is loose. Some may see him with a plain white shirt and a leather jacket his father had owned.

{Personality}
Kael is actually a total sweetheart despite the fact that he's smirking whenever he finds something funny or the fact that he has a stern look on his face when he passes you down the hall. It's quite strange since most people assume that base on his appearance, that Kael is a naughty boy, but it's quite the opposite. Kael is more studious than the average student and he follows the rules as if they were a life or death situation.

{History}
Being one of the sons to a man who owned one of the largest underground businesses in the magical community, things can be a bit. . . dangerous. Especially when your father was one of the men who has been selling illegal magical items to people who will do who knows what with those peculiar items. Ever since Kael could store memories in his brain, his father was dealing with all sorts of people and even involved his family too. It made them insanely wealthy, however, and before any of them knew it, the Longthorns were living in luxury. Being the youngest, Kael wasn't expected to do much around the house so his father would usually ask one of the older kids to help him with errands and the like. Some which made his children smell like smoke when they came home late at night. Seven years ago, that was when their fortune, became their demise. Though Rhio was making huge sums of money from his business, he made lots of enemies and some even wanted him dead. On the night before Kael's birthday, shouts and angry yells were heard from outside the Longthorn's mansion. Those were sleeping close to the front of the house arose quickly and tried to wake everyone else up. Meanwhile, Rhio went right up to the huge doors to see that there was a mob of curious men who had fireballs in their hands, ready to have their share of the promised money made by Rhio (Kael only learned of this later when his brothers told him). Then, when the children were heading for the secret escape tunnels, a large explosion was heard from the entrance to the mansion and they feared the worse. Their mother ushering them into the tunnel as they crawled, she closed the door behind them and was determined to fight alongside her husband. But she was only met with an untimely death with one of the men killed her in front of Rhio. Filled with rage, Rhio transformed into a beast which is known as a werewolf. He had killed many men that night, but not enough for him to meet the same fate as his wife.
Now orphans, the four children ran in their pajamas with a destination in mind: Redthorn. No other place would seem likely to take them in, and it wasn't like they had any relatives willling to care for the little ones. So off they went, depending on their father's money to supply them with enough cash to pay for the school as well as other things. The children never knew what was the fate of their parents, but they fear that they may both be dead, given the fact that they haven't heard from them in seven years.
During that time, Kael has begun to trust very few people in the Academy. Sure, he's made a few friends here and there, but none that have allowed him to give his full trust. Other events have also followed for Kael since he attended Redthorn. One of them being his major crush on Nora Bright. She was the most wonderful girl you could ever imagine but unfortunately for Kael, his heart was broken. When the two were occasionally meeting each other, Kael had felt that he should tell Nora of his crush on her. At first, she seemed surprised, then shy, then. . . Kael couldn't explain it but she seemed a little confused too. Which only made it the more embarrassing. Apparently, she was dating another fellow in school and since then, the two have barely spoke. Either that or kept each other at arm's length. From then on, Kael hasn't felt that way for a girl since and isn't sure if he ever will.

Swift
Kael can run at speeds running up from five to fifteen miles per hour. Now he realizes that it must not be very fast but to him, it's absolutely thrilling. And each mph he runs, depends on how he's feeling. If he gets scared (which is rare 'cause he's mostly aware) he can sprint at seven mph. If he wants to get things done quickly, he can run at ten mph. Though Kael can only use his ability every ten minutes, he has to recharge and wait until he feels "filled up" again and start running.

While some will say Freea isn't the same astounding beauty as her aunt, they will agree that she is a girl who inherited the family's dashing looks. Such as the typical auburn hair with reddish tints or a pale blond. Most relatives were disappointed when Freea was born with a more dominant red hair color rather than having the traditional hair color for the Hokes. The one thing the family was grateful for were her sea green eyes. Some said they even looked like her mother's with which Freea wore with pride, since she couldn't very well just exchange them. Being only at a measly height of five feet, seven, Freea feels ashamed with this since her family are either over six feet or close to it. Though she prays she'll have a small growth spurt soon.

{Personality}
Freea is just about as mean as you can get. She is utterly the worst girl you can imagine by her being really persuasive in getting whatever she wants. As well as manipulating people for her to get the end goal. She has absolutely no good side to her and treats her enemies with immense dislike. No one can deny that this girl has serious troubles, so to try and make up for that, Freea will occasionally be wolfishly kind to a person that she sees as someone to be taken advantage of.

{History}
As I'm sure you've noticed, Freea was born into a rather strict and tight family. You were expected to be a someone, as far as the Hokes were concerned. And couldn't care less if you had other interests. The main goal with this family was to be the top in everything and make sure everyone knew it. Well, with that kind of attitude, it's a no brainer that Freea turned out the way she was. When she was admitted into Redthorn, the school was like a playground for her. One to cause trouble and perhaps make some powerful allies. Of course, her relatives instructed her to make a good impression on her teachers and fellow students. So during her first and second year, Freea had to suffer through being a nice girl. While she did make some friends, Clara and Lottie, Freea wanted to be in control of the school as soon as possible. Well, not necessarily ruling, but just keeping close tabs on everyone. When Freea graduated her Second year, she was hit with unfortunate news. Both her parents had fallen ill when visiting important business somewhere Freea had never even heard of. Both her and her older brother were excused from school for two months before having the horrible news of their parents' deaths. Both the of the children were heartbroken. And at the funeral, it was the first time either one of them cried publicly, though they were punished for it later. When the matter came as to what to with the orphaned children, the decision came to be that they would live with their aunt. Frana Hoke was the relative who was hardly ever mentioned and was a disgrace to their family, wasting her talents over at a simple veterinary. Frana lived close by the magical school and has only tolerated her niece and nephew for however long she can. While their aunt does run a tight ship, she isn't as cruel as her sister or the others. All the same, the children have been dealing with their grief in different ways. Derick locks himself up in a room and is always so quiet, while Freea. . . well, she involves herself in a lot more trouble than normal.

Hydrokinetic
Having this ability is what makes Freea feel whole and would never trade it in for any other ability out there. Being a Hydro, Freea is able to create water spheres as well as blobs of water that when pressurized, can react like a bomb, which is Freea's favorite. She can also walk on water.
