HOLY CRAPI DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED....
BUT I JUST WROTE 2000 WORDS TODAY.
2 THOUSAND WORDS
TODAY, JANUARY 9, 2018.
if you care to divide 2000 words by 25 days, that's 80 words for every day I didn't write.
(I did actually write a few words yesterday, about 20, but adding that would have screwed up the numbers, sooo...)
Word count - 1/16-18: 2003 words. I think I got my head back into the game.
I hope....
Onboard the Ship of Dreams, I go!
1/20/18 - 233 words. Not as impressive, but hey, I'll take it. It's a lot better than zero!!!! Word count was on The White Rose today.
1/21/18 - 679 words, From the Cave.
I may do more writing later today, but I wanted to add in this total before it got lost.

Great work, Catherine!
Wrote about 100 or so for a short story on Wattpad called Shattered Chandelier. Will post the link later on.

2-1-18: 315 words, The White Rose.
Lil snippet:
“Your Majesty…I didn’t create the dynastic laws. I only enforce them.”
“Yes, and you are doing a splendid job of it.” Ealdread laid his hands on the councilman’s shoulders.

Awesome job, Catherine! And the excerpt sounds great. I'm sure I would know this if I knew the character better, but is that sarcasm or praise?
2/2/2018 - 527 wordsSnippet:
“I must ask you again, Magda. Why are you wearing your gloves in the castle?”
“It is not a large matter….”
“Yes, it is, Magda. You are breaking etiquette protocol. Gloved hands in a castle are a sign of deception and pride in a lady of Duventoliel. Now, answer me truthfully, Magdalena!”
Refusing to make eye contact with her mother’s stony gaze, Magda said lightly “It is because I wish to keep my hands a fashionable pale, Mother. There, is that so evil?”
Queen Carina held herself very erect and kept herself calm, in spite of her flashing eyes. “It may be fashionable in the state of Ravndal to keep one’s skin pale.” She spat out the word. “But not in Duventoliel.”

Great word count! And that mom sounds a little harsh... brrr
Thank you Nicki! Magda gets on her mother's nerves a lot, especially since Magda has a history of being petulant, vain, and might have a bit of an arrogant streak.....
In editing, I'll probably add in a few instances where Queen Carina asks her to take the gloves off, (as well as Magda's snippy responses or ignorance).
Duventoliel society values honesty, transparency, and purity pretty highly. And considering what Magda is hiding under those gloves....

Interesting... sounds like Magda is a hard person to get along with. I love how you have these different cultures and ideals for different kingdoms.
She definitely can be....which makes her difficult to write for sometimes. Thank you :) I love looking at different cultures to see what is valued and what is not 😁
Last comment....February?? Oh great. Forget trying to update this as a daily thing. Let's go with a month or a quarter, shall we?
February - March: 3000 words? It's too muddled to count...and there is no word counter on Google Docs *scrunches nose*. I've since switched to Shaxpir and it has worked much better.
April 1: 0
April 2: 371 words
April 3: 1782 words
April 4: 18 words.
Definitely forget this being Daily or even monthly. I'm now changing it just Word Count Log. This is picking up from NaNo (as in the November event, not the April one that I left off of). I hadn't written at all during December, so perfect time to restart my Word Count Log
January 3: 1001 words. WIP: The White Rose. Total WIP word count is 29,597.
January 8: 440 words. WIP: The White Rose
Total Word Count: 30,037
O.O
OH MY GOODNESS I REACHED 30K. Totally wasn't expecting this at all. I'm so stoked now. *squeals*

January 12, 2019: 1359 wordsWIP: The White Rose
Total Word Count: 31,410 words
Today, I stayed with the men this time, mostly writing one scene in which Ealdread (my male MC) and Tobias (Janina's brother) are on their way to Duventoliel for the Karala Games. The flow is getting better, so I hope to have more progress soon!
January 23, 2019: 2320 words (includes 530ish words that I had written on January 13 and never recorded here)WIP: The White Rose
Total Word Count: 33,700
Now there's a nice even number for ya....I worked on adding on several scenes today - trying to smooth out a few transistions. One step closer to having a cohesive narrative that I can call a complete first draft!
It is....I seem to have this pattern where I write several hundred words every few days or so. Probably a good thing to note when NaNo events come round
