Wow 2,000+ words. That's awesome! I'm lucky if I get 1,000 in. You're doing great, and what story was this again?
Wowie! Like Nicki, 2000 words is rare for me! Oh yeah, I've worked on multiple WIPs at once. It can get really messy sometimes :)
That's a great word count! I generally find that if I sit down and write for an hour I can get at least 1,000 words done. Though I did get 1,000 words done for a half hour so I may be getting faster :P

You got this, Ivie! And those are great word counts, especially given the small time spent on them. Sigh. I wish I can write that fast ;P

I relate to this so much!!

Ivie wrote: "January 7th - 1,502 Time: 40 minutes"Nice! I spent an hour working on my book and got about the same amount done. You go, girl!!!
Ivie wrote: "Yikes, It has been quite a bit since I've updated my word count. To be fair, I have been busy editing, so there hasn't been much of a word count to update. So, this thread might become a little ina..."Mhmm, preach it sister...

Whoopee!
(and hey, 30,000 words is still past the novella length so there's that ;D)

90,000 is a good goal. My first book was only 56,000 words when I first started rewriting/editing it and by the time I was done it was 116,000 words then I deleted it down to 109,000 words and that was its final word count, so word counts rise and fall before the writer's whims XD
Yeah, I've heard that it's always a good idea to have a month or two break between when you finish a draft and when you start a new one... but I've never had time to do that myself XD. It takes me too stinking long to write, by the time I finish writing it's only about a month away (or sometimes even AFTER) from when I originally hoped to publish and so I don't have time to wait till I edit.
But, YOU'VE GOT THIS!!!
Ivie wrote: "So... my new word count goal is 100,000, but 90,000 or even 80,000 is okay with me. XD"I'm sure you can do it. What word count are you on now?
Ivie wrote: "I don't know. 40,000+ I think, but I'm applying my notes and that is bringing the count up."Yeah, those notes and details can sure add a lot. I more than doubled Week of Werewolves's word count when I rewrote it. I went from 56,000 words to 116,000 words (which I then shrunk down to 109,000 words) so I know for a fact that when editing the word count can just jump everywhere.

I work on multiple projects. Right now I'm working on (as you probably already know) My Time in Amar, I'm also writing League of Thieves, and I'm trying to figure out if I should work on one more story. Problem is I have three waiting...
