Still narrowing down the choices for first book in the series (I've come up with 7 that I own and don't even want to look at all the other series I would read) and I need to see if I own anything with a bird on the cover. ** Do as many as you are able and have fun!
January 2018 Mini Challenges
1. January first is New Year's Day: Read the first book in a new-to-you series.
2. January 5 is National Bird Day and January 20 is Penguin Awareness Day: Read a book with some sort of bird on the cover or in the title. (e.g.: Cardinal Sin, Eagle’s Last Stand, Flaubert’s Parrot, The Inn at Eagle Point, Rhyme of the Magpie, Shadow of the Hawk, The Tale of Cuckoo Brow Wood, An Occurrence at Owl Creek, The Cuckoo’s Calling, Nightingale, Penguin Island, Turkey Trot, Winter Hawk’s Legend . . . Anything by Donna Andrews; Amanda Flowers “magical bookshop” series)
3. January 8 is Male Watcher's Day and January 12 is Feast of Fabulous Wild Men Day: Read a book with a man on the cover, or written by a male author.
4. January 13 is Friday the 13th: Read the 13th book in a series*, or find a book in which someone is afraid of something (heights, the dark, confined spaces, people, cats/dogs, spiders, etc).
5. January 15 is National Hat Day: Read a book with some sort of hat on the cover (e.g.: baseball, beanie, boater, chef, Stetson, stocking, top hat, etc.)
* Remember that you can find 13th books in series you are reading by going to your GR bookshelf and searching for "13".
