I’m a big fan of some of what I’d assume are considered canonical for Dudeism: The Abide Guide and The Tao of the Dude. Hope we get some comments about some of the other ones I’ve seen but not read: Lebowski 101, A Big Lebowski Manifesto, The Big Lebowski and Philosophy and The Year’s Work in Lebowski Studies. Hopefully there are more out there I haven’t run into yet.

As for what I have read, I’ve now read The Tao of the Dude twice and I’m on my second reading of The Abide guide right now. Really entertaining and insightful in terms of the philosophical aspects of the film and of Dudeism itself. I can imagine myself rereading each of these every year.

Hi there! I enjoyed reading The Dude and the Zen Master. It’s a short book with the transcript of conversation between Jeff Bridges and his yogi buddy. Just be ready to read the whole thing in Jeff’s voice.
