Do you remember the first memorable novel that you read?

My first memorable novel was "Rebecca" by Daphne Du Maurier. I was in 5th or 6th grade, and the school bookmobile librarian handed me the book and said, "You will like this!" I could not put it down once I started reading it, and I remember how it made me feel to this day!

How did you happen to pick it up? Was it for school, or was it recommended?

Katie | 2 comments The 'Clan of the Cave Bear' series by Jean Auel, it was the first time I felt I'd moved into grown up books.
