message 2: by Granger (new)

Granger Danger Nicole saw the giant gate surrounding the pound. There was no chance she wa going to go in there. She looked around. In the distance she could see a tree. Se ran to it instatly and started climbing. She tried to be careful because the tree was nearly about to fall apart. She climbed to the highest branch. There was a huge distance between it and inside the wall. She held on to the branch tightly and she dangled down from it. Nicole then started swinging herself back and forth then she let go. She felt to the ground wincing in pain. She stood up. No keepers saw her. Thankfully. She checked her belt and pockets. She had her knife and her gear. Thank god.

Harper walked down the streets, head down, the soft rain covering her in water droplets. She was so damn sick of it here, of the Keepers, of this rediculous lift style forced upon her.

message 4: by Granger (new)

Granger Danger Nicole quickly stood up and saw a girl around her age. She quickly walked up to her grabbed her by the wrist and held out her knife so close to her if se made an instant move she would get stabbed. Nicole mad sure the knife wasn't visible and she stood close to the girl. "How did you get here?" She whispered to her.

"How the hell do you think?" Harper hissed, "I was thrown in the hell hole just like everyone else. For no goddamned reason!" She had a hand on the girl's arm, enough to move the knife further away from her neck. "And you obviously are not from in here, so the better question is how did you get in?"

message 6: by Granger (new)

Granger Danger Nicole slipped her knife back in her belt and fixed up her jacket so her belt wont show. "Jumped," she simply answered and let go of the girls wrist. "I came to try and find a way to save the innocent," she explained.

"You do realize now that you're in, there's no way out, yes?" Harper asked, pointing at the towering wall. "Trust me, we'd all be gone by now if there was." she watched her

message 8: by Granger (new)

Granger Danger "I will find a way," she snapped. She thought of how she would get out. And even if she did hoe the hell is she going to et everyone else out.

"Well yelling at me isn't going to make the walls fall down" Harper crossed her arms over her chest

message 10: by Granger (new)

Granger Danger Nicole sighed. "Are you going to help me?" She asked.

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 106 comments Mod
"With what, exactly?" Harper asked, raising a thin eyebrow at her. "You haven't exactly explained anything to me"

message 12: by Granger (new)

Granger Danger "You seem pretty tough. You must know things people from the outside of the pound don't. You gotta help me kill the keepers. Then we'll find a way out of here," she said.

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 106 comments Mod
"Kill the keepers??" Harper said, wide eyes. "Trust me, I want to get out here as much as the next, but they have far ebtter training than anyone in here does"

message 14: by Granger (new)

Granger Danger "Then help me get some weapons. Knives aren't enough," she demanded.

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 106 comments Mod
"There aren't many here. Yes, some of the smarter prisoners make there own, but nothing high tech. This place is hell." Harper replied

message 16: by Granger (new)

Granger Danger "Even the keepers? They don't have any weapons?" She asked curiously. She needed at lease one weapon to take back to the HQ.

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 106 comments Mod
((I am so so sorry it took me forever))

"They do, but they are almost always up there on that wall, marching around as if they own the place. WHich, they kind of do." Harper said with an eye roll

message 18: by Granger (new)

Granger Danger Nicole bit her lip. "okay then. I guess i'll need a proper plan," she said

message 19: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (monsosar) Zac always wondered the streets extremely bored. He had no idea what to do, he would go around trying to get work to gain some money, food, or even a place to stay. He was at the mercy of the people of the Pound, and sadly there was a reason quite a few people were in here. But he noticed that the innocents that were here helped him when they could, they recognized his name from helping so many.

message 20: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (monsosar) (( I have to ghost soon btw))

message 21: by regan (new)

regan Julie wandered the fence of the Pound carefully. She had broken out many Condemned before and could spot the innocents easily. She saw a blonde guy wearing rags. She could tell he was an innocent. But he looked like he was grieving about something. She could tell even from here. Everyone wore rags but his were especially ragged. It was like he hadn't slept in a shelter in days. Julie was wearing rags herself to blend in and crawled through a hold in the fence. She slyly walked over to him in the cover of the dark. "Why you in here?" Julie asked it casually, as if she herself lived in the Pound.

message 22: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (monsosar) One look at her and he saw she was no Condemned. He had done a similar technique in getting people out. In code-ish form hinting his words in case anyone over heard, "probably the 'same' reason you are."

message 23: by regan (new)

regan Julie looked at him in the eyes and pulled him over to an alleyway. "Rebel?" she asked, whispering. If he was, she sure had never seen him before. But then again, there were solo rebels, working alone. She didn't know if he fell under any of those categories. Julie was on a mission and if he could help himself, she'd just move right along to the next person who wanted out.

message 24: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (monsosar) "Not technically. I was forced to be a keeper. Do while patrolling the pound I would help people escape. I got caught a couple months ago." His face turned dark. He lost everything. His family was killed right on front of him and he had to watch Ivy leave. He was so broken

message 25: by regan (new)

regan "You want out of here? Because if you're busy, I'm busier. I have other people who need to get out of here," Julie said, very harsh and business like. She didn't have time for everyone. She tackled things in a manner that said 'If you're not worth my time, GET OUT OF MY WAY!'.

message 26: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (monsosar) "No please! I need you're help! I really need to get out of here. A girl is still being forced as a keeper and I need to help her. Please I'll do anything to gt out of here," he practically begged her because he was so desperate and empty. He didn't care what she thought he just needed a way out

message 27: by regan (new)

regan Julie eyed him a little warily. "Fine. Follow me." She stalked off back towards the hidden hole in the fence. She crawled through and had to hope Zac could fit as well. Escaping the Pound was easy. One just had to find the right places. Julie kept that information to herself though.

message 28: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (monsosar) He followed her eagerly and crawled through the hole. It was a tight fit and he got a few scratches but he didn't care, he was free, free to find her and build a life back. "Thank you, the guards had been watching me closely because i knew one half this place well but I tried staying away from them to think I wasn't a threat. Thank you."

message 29: by regan (new)

regan "Don't thank me, you're not out yet," Julie said a little cryptically. She had watched the guards recently install land mines. Any escapees would never escape then. But as Julie watched, there was a pattern in how they placed them. And there were also a few safe paths that were used for the jeeps. "Match my steps exactly," she said, a dead serious tone in her voice. She began hopping this way and that, but slowly enough so that Zac could follow.

message 30: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (monsosar) He followed her down the trail following her footsteps. He quietly walked with her as they avoided the dangers of the field. They had tightened up on security, Zac thought to himself.

message 31: by regan (new)

regan After about 5 minutes of so, Julie stopped. "We should be clear." She kept on walking though to continue putting distance between them and the Pound. "So where's this girl you spoke of?" If there was any chance Zac would become a rebel, she wanted to help. The more resistance against the Empire, the better.

message 32: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (monsosar) He smiled sadly, "She's trapped the clutches of the wretched Empire. I was in a similar position. They threaten the really good kids into training as elites with many different things. For both of us it was our families..," he got quiet suddenly.

message 33: by regan (new)

regan "Then what were you doing here?" she asked bluntly. Most of Julie didn't care about his situation but the small part that did forced her to ask the question.

message 34: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (monsosar) "I was helping Condemned escape while on patrol, I've been doing it for about seven years I think. They caught me, killed my family, and threw me in here as punishment." He shook with grief. Right before his eyes he saw each dying breath.

message 35: by regan (new)

regan "Killed my family too. Only I was lucky enough to not end up here," she said. Julie could feel the hatred boiling in her and held it down some. "So how you gonna find this chick?"

message 36: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (monsosar) "Hmm..." He thought for a long moment while they walked. Zac the continued saying, "I would search every corner of the world until I found her. I'm not to concerned of how, I know I will. I will check every spot we used to meet at everyday. Though I'm sure the Keepers are keeping her busy. Maybe I might even run into her." He said this all with hope in his voice. He was not the same person as he used to be. Much more careful and loving and emotional. The prison, capturing, execution, and Pound had a strong affect on his being.

message 37: by regan (new)

regan ((Sorry for late reply))

Julie nodded but said in contradiction to the nodding, "You know you might not find her, right?" She honestly didn't ever see him finding her. The Empire seemed small on a map, but if you actually travelled it, it seemed huge. "And why doesn't she just come looking for you?"

message 38: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (monsosar) ((Sorry for some reason I did not see you replied :/ ))

He though of what she said, "I know, but I won't stop..." He knew exactly why she couldn't come to him. "She is always watched. She has a tracker in her leg that they put on her and if she does anything she shouldn't they will kill one of her family members. I have to come up with a plan to get her out safely with her family, unless it's to late."

message 39: by regan (new)

regan ((No worries, I had replied late as well))

Julie let a long pause sit in the air. "Then I think you'll find her. You're determined. I don't understand why but the point is that you're determined. And nothing can stop you if you want this bad enough," she shrugged. Julie was very determined herself and thought if she stayed that way long and hard enough, the Empire would crumble in her hands.

message 40: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (monsosar) "Thanks for the confidence I guess..." he was determined, but what he didn't have was hope. "How far are you going to take me? Will you give me directions?" He was a grown man and could find his way himself. Now that he was out of that prison he was starting to find some of his old self back. He wasn't just some crazy, desperate, hopeless, and confused boy anymore. Zac didn't want to rely on anyone anymore but he knew he would have to if he were to get V out. "Thanks for the help so far," sounding more grown up and not deranged anymore.

message 41: by regan (new)

regan She sighed to herself. Julie found that she sort of wanted to help him find the other girl. She wanted him to succeed in his travels and plans. "I'll take you wherever you need to go. Just give me the destination. I may even be able to find a car." A part of her couldn't believe what she was saying. She never helped anyone but herself. Julie decided this was the last thing she did for anyone else. Then she'd go right back to putting all her effort into making the Empire fall. And she swore it would fall in her lifetime, by her hands.

message 42: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (monsosar) "Wow, really? You really don't have to go that far, you seem like a busy woman," he said giving her a wary look. "Well I'm not really sure where to go from here, the Rebellion HQ i guess? Unless there is somewhere else we should start." He tried thinking of a plan on how to track her down. Maybe they were using her for Special Ops and if he stirred up some major trouble she would be there.

message 43: by regan (new)

regan ((Maybe they'll find her in the forest or underground subway topic?))

"The Rebel HQ is as good place to start as any," Julie shrugged. "You know what kind of job she has as a Keeper?"

message 44: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (monsosar) ((Ya sounds like a plan. How will we get Zac and Julie to go through there??))

"No..." he said hopelessly. "It's been awhile, so I'm not sure. From here how far is it to HQ? What do we have to go through to get there?" He wondered if he could hit a few spots and leave some messages if she still went to there meet-up locations.

message 45: by regan (new)

regan ((Mmm, maybe Julie tells him about a secret entrance to the underground subway and they used to meet there? And when they're walking through the forest, Ivy shoots at Julie and misses and they find each other again?))

"Well, if we trudge straight through the forest, I'd say maybe a day, day and a half? If we take the safer route, we go through some subway tunnels and such around the forest, definitely two days at least. But since you're an old keeper, I think we could cut all the times in half," Julie explained.

message 46: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (monsosar) ((Sounds good, let's do that :) ))

"Alight," he said with a slight grin. "Lead the way to where we need to go." He was eager to get going and on his way closer to getting V out of that forsaken hole. He wanted a life with her, not on the run always sneaking around to see her.

message 47: by regan (new)

regan ((Cool :) ))

Julie nodded and began to lead the way. There were curves to the path and cuts this way and that, but she was confident and sure in all her moves and steps. She'd travelled these ways so many times. Once or twice she glanced at the stars to make sure she was absolutely correct. Finally, Julie stopped. "Subway path or forest path. You pick," she said. She thought either way would essentially be about the same amount of time to get through, but he was the one really in charge. He had the reason to come this way. She was just the tour guide.

message 48: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (monsosar) He thought of how he had never been in the underground subway and everything about that place made his skin crawl. Zac would greatly prefer to stay where he was used to, he had been in the forest a few times on patrols so he knew what to expect, for the most part. "How about the forest path," he said. There wasn't much to a decision when they both had the same destination and probably the same amount of threats. Zac was just very unfamiliar with the place.

message 49: by regan (new)

regan ((Do we want Ivy to come in in the next couple posts or later?))

Julie simply nodded and trekked on. The forest path was probably safer anyways. There weren't any rats, no possibility of tunnel collapses, it wasn't as dark. "So how'd you guys even meet?" she finally asked, bored of silently traveling.

The chief Keeper, whom was regarded as a legend almost, had a face to face talk with Ivy. After her week in solitary confinement, they whipped her back into shape. But they had also told Ivy that a condemned tried to lead a rebellion, tried to escape. She was told they shot him and many of his followers. She was told he was blonde. And she prayed it hadn't been Zac. Ivy thought she would feel it if he were dead. That something in her gut would tell her. Sure, she cried that night and the next night. But Ivy didn't know what to believe anymore. Was this another trick? Or did Zac really try to free the Condemned?
A few months after all that, a Keeper general gave her orders. Go into the rebel lands. Kill as many as possible. But they also gave her some blurry pictures of rebels they definitely wanted dead. One was of a pale blonde girl, another of a tan boy, a girl with braided hair, a boy with bright blue eyes. And so she set out.

message 50: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (monsosar) ((When ever you think it would work :) switch threads??))

He soberly followed, mostly in silence as he hiked and climbed. He eventually got tired of just walking and so he started practicing his hand-to-hand combat and stances while they moved. If he fell behind he would just run to catch up. It was just his way of trying to get back into shape, he was sure that as soon as he got there he could get to work and move into finding V. And if he was to do that he would need to be physically prepared.
