Jenn Dashney | 1 comments It's a fine line between YA and NA and I feel like I'm walking it like a tightrope. My character is 19, so NA seems like the answer... she falls in love but there is no sex (at least not yet) which makes me lean back to YA. So many of the NA titles are in the vein of 50 Shades it seems. There's a supernatural element to the story. I'd appreciate any and all thoughts on this! Thanks in advance.

Iesha (In east shade house at...) (emberblue) | 150 comments I would say young adult, but it really depends on your plot and contents of your story. However, I'm not entirely sure myself.

This.

Besides, there is sex in YA, just not explicit sex. YA versus NA can depend as much on the emotional maturity of your main characters as their physical age.
