I'm currently reading The Circle by Dave Eggers. I watched the movie staring Emma Watson and Tom Hanks. The movies basic plot is the same as the book and many of the grandiose situations are the same but I'm finding there's a lot different from the book. Mae has a few romantic interests in the book that aren't even touched upon in the movie, for example. One of those characters isn't even in the movie. Also, with the exception of Mae, Annie, and Mercer, many of the characters names changed, which I found odd.
I just finished this book - when it’s so cold outside it’s easy to stay in and read 😃. Almost every book I enjoy more than the movie but I really felt they changed a lot of the storyline here. I almost like the movie better - gasp. I felt the same way about Hidden Figures and my friend brought up the idea that I liked whatever I read or saw first. She may have a point there - I saw both movies before I read the books for most of the time it’s the other way around. I’ll need to conduct more research to test her hypothesis.

I read Chocolate by Joanne Harris for this category. Loved the movie for years and the book was as good, if not better.
