I know there's a thread of other challenges from years past but can we get some of the other challenges for 2018 listed?!

I'm also doing Modern Mrs Darcy's 2018 challenge: https://modernmrsdarcy.com/reading-ch...
I'm tempted by Book Riot's Reading Harder challenge, but I'm restraining myself, because I'm afraid I'd get overwhelmed trying to TRACK three challenges at once:
https://bookriot.com/2017/12/15/book-...
I'm also doing the Modern Mrs. Darcy challenge! Though I'm planning to double dip quite a bit since this challenge is such an undertaking.
These are the ones I am considering! Mostly shorter bingo and read the books I keep buying challenges this year! Not all of them are 2018 yet. http://jannghi.blogspot.com/2016/10/m...

I'm hosting a reading challenge through my blog, While I Was Reading. https://ramonamead.com/?p=1101
I'm already signed up for too many challenges.Around the Year in 52 Books: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...
(Which has many similar prompts and I was able to find well over 30 books to crossover.)
I also belong to a Sci-Fantasy Book Club, and their fabulous moderators have put together SO many fun challenges:
Inclusive Book Bingo (a challenge to read more diversely)
Owned Books Challenge (a fun challenge to reduce the size of your Owned-TBR pile and works with literally all other challenges you are doing)
SFF TBR Challenge (currently still working on 2017 and will be until May 2018, but also planning to sign up for the 2018 challenge)
Link to Group here: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...
I am doing the Book Riot, MMD and all the Sci-Fantasy challenges that Sarah mentioned above in addition to the Popsugar. I love that link that Sam posted - girlxoxo - and saw a few that looked fun on that too. However, I'm not quite as brave as Sam and think 4 challenges may be enough for me to handle. I will also check out your blog challenge, Ramona!
I'm doing Goodreads ATY, this one, Book Riot 2018, Modern Mrs. Darcy 2017 (because the 2018 list didn't excite me much), and my own challenge which includes my top prompts that I voted for in the process of making the ATY challenge. For those who don't know, the ATY group makes their challenge by a series of votes on prompts suggested by the group members. We get to pick at top 4 and bottom 4 on each poll, and the winners make the year's final list. I ended up with a list of prompts that I was very interested in that didn't make the list, so I wanted to use some of those. I eliminated any that were repetitive or had made it onto any of the other challenges I was doing, and ended up with a list of 25.
Because this is the most challenges I've ever done in a year, I'm thinking of extending the timeline required for at least some of them. Probably ATY, PopSugar and BookRiot will be done within the year, and the other 2 will have an extra 3 months.
I am doing ATY, MMD and Book Riot along with this challenge. I did all but Book Riot this year and finished all three with a month to spare. I do allow books to count against multiple challenges if they fit. This year I am also trying to choose books on my TBR as much as possible.
I just decided to sign up for the MMD Challenge cause it sounds like a lot of fun. I’ll also be participating my local library reading challenge.
This is my first year for reading challenges, lol since middle school that is. Used to love doing them over the summer for the Book It program. So I'm going all in with this one and the ATY one, to start with. Don't want to get too in over my head. Each prompt in one challenge cannot share a book, but I will cross a prompt from each list with one book.
I’m doing Book Riot’s Challenge along with this one. I was going to do MMD’s too but I’m already way in over my head with the other two.
I'm doing Book Riot's Challenge, Modern Miss Darcy's 2018 challenge and I'm also trying to complete past Popsugar's prompts; combining them all and deleting repeated entries I ended up with a spreadsheet of aprox. 215 books! Unrealistic to say the least, but I'm using it more as an idea generator than as a binding requirement. If I complete the 2018 Popsugar one, or even just one of the other ones I listed, I would be very proud of myself.
I’m doing PS, Book Riot and Around the Year, no overlap. Than I’m doing the challenges and monthly/seasonal reads at the Reading 1001 group on Goodreads and my monthly book club. If I happen to read things that don’t fit in the 2018 challenges, I will try and fill in 2015-2016 challenges, but those are ongoing and aren’t a particular focus until the current year is finished.
I'm adding Around the Year to PS for 2018 with some books likely counting on both lists. I've debated adding another, but I'm starting with those two for now.
I've joined EVERYONE Has Read This But Me- The Catch-Up Book Club. It's also on Good reads. It has 3 books a month.
I'm attempting the Book Riot Read Harder, Modern Mrs. Darcy, and this one, obviously. We shall see how it goes! I'm tracking on here and in my bullet journal.
I've never done a reading challenge before so I'm starting with just this one and Book Riot's Read Harder. BUT I also have the goal of completing the previous years' prompts as well. We'll see what happens!
I'm doing the Around The Year challenge with a different set of books from the PopSugar Challenge. I'm also doing MMD. My plan is to read different books for this as well, but if I end up using books from other challenges for it, I'm not going to get to wound up about it! I'm also doing the color challenge, the A-Z challenge using titles, and the Let's Turn Pages challenges. I'll use books from other challenges or non-challenge reads for the first two. For Let's Turn Pages, I'll just add up the total for everything I read. It's gonna be fun!
Starting with PopSugar, probably going to do MMD and looking for one that is all mysteries & true crime---anyone know of one?
Apparently Bookish is doing a reading challenge, and I'm a little disappointed because I'm already sort of at my limit for the year, but I think it would have been much more successful in diversifying my reading with prompts like:A novel told in verse
A graphic memoir
A book banned in your state
A book about intersectional feminism
A book that explores the concept of beauty
A collection of short stories from a genre you are unfamiliar with
Here's the link in case any of you brave over achievers would like to check it out: https://www.bookish.com/articles/book...
Is anyone else doing The Next Big Idea Club? I'm excited to dive deeper into the books, and learn from the authors!https://www.nextbigideaclub.com/home
I'm attempting to do GoodReads, PopSugar, Reading the Rainbow challenge and the Linz the Bookworm challenge. I'm quite sure some of the books may overlap. I'm just addicted to challenges.
I'm doing this one, Read Harder, and the #WotNReadingChallenge, which I wrote.http://wordofthenerdonline.com/2017/1...
In addition to the PS Challenge, I am doing the ordinary Goodreads Challenge (I pledged 100 books, as usual) and the Mount TBR challenge, which is all about decimating the pile of unread books already in your possession. I tried to fill the PS prompts from my TBR pile, and fortunately, the three challenges are not mutually exclusive and most books can count for all three.I think that if I did another prompt-based challenge, I'd need 48-hour days ... because I would not want to count the same book for two different prompts, that would feel like cheating.
Besides Pop Sugar, Book Riot, and MMD, I'm also doing: - the A-Z (title of book version),
- the Once Upon a Time (challenge based on a TV series),
- Around the World in 80 books (a book set in each of 80 countries, with at least one country from each of 8 regions) and
- the USA Reading Roadtrip (a book set in each of the 50 US States plus DC).
But I am allowing overlap between challenges - if one book fits a prompt in multiple challenges, I'll take it.
After I wrote my comment #30 above, I actually went and checked out the Around the Year in Books Challenge and am seriously tempted to add it as a backup :D I managed to squeeze in a lot of books from my TBR pile there, too ... and last year I did finish the PS Challenge in summer, so there is definitely room for some more.I would still not allow overlaps between the prompts, but my yearly reading average is usually a little over a hundred, so I would technically be able to do both challenges with a different book for each prompt ... I might give it a try. In that case I will probably alternate between challenges for each book I read. And I will give the PS Challenge priority over the ATY challenge in case things get tight. Seriously tempted ... :)
I mostly do challenges through habitica.com because it organizes them for me. (And gives me props for finishing.) I'm currently doing:BookRiot Read Harder
MMD
SuperWendy's TBR challenge -- monthly challenge focusing on romance
Read the World -- monthly challenge
Keeping it Real - monthly nonfiction challenge
Alphabet challenge -- read an author from every letter throughout the year
Climbing Mt TBR -- you set your own goals monthly
A 3 month TBR challenge focusing on TBR books
Finish or Flee -- focus on finishing or getting rid of unfinished book
Kidlit -- monthly book of the moderator's choice
Ultimate Challenge -- very similar to the popsugar challenge, with 52 books
Nonfiction every month
A monthly book about money, moderator's choice
One with a different prompt every month
And another random one in German. ;-)
I keep having to edit this as I remember more. Yes, I have a problem.

Yes!! Another competitive purist like me! I only allow one prompt per book. No overlap or repeating it on another challenge. So I will be doing A LOT of reading this year. Keep up the recommendations of good books everyone!

We will be reading a lot! Looking forward to lots of good recommendations!
Big question: HOW IS EVERYONE MANAGING TO TRACK THEIR BOOKS? I am the most unorganized person in the world. I desperately need suggestions. Please and Thank You!
Dottie wrote: "Big question: HOW IS EVERYONE MANAGING TO TRACK THEIR BOOKS? I am the most unorganized person in the world. I desperately need suggestions. Please and Thank You!"Some of the challenge runners have print out options with checklists. I sometimes make my own.
Dottie wrote: "Big question: HOW IS EVERYONE MANAGING TO TRACK THEIR BOOKS? I am the most unorganized person in the world. I desperately need suggestions. Please and Thank You!"Other than popsugar I'm doing 3 more challanges. To organize I have written down i.e. made my own spread sheet.
I'm doing "The Big Bad Shhlut Challange" Here is the promo doc
"The Big Bad Shhlut Challange"
It basically focuses on erotic read.
I'm also doing The QCA DisLit Reading Challenge. To start with I'm overlapping with PS, but if I get through them all I may fill out each prompt on it's own. It's only 10 books.http://theqca.wixsite.com/quirkycitiz...
Well, well, well. Just what I need. More challenges to do! Why, oh why,did I look at this thread?? :-)
I join reading challenge in one czech bookish website, there´s 20 prompts, and Popsuger Reading challenge, of course. 5 prompts are common, so it means 65 book for this year. I hope I will be able to finish both, but now I´m two books behind schedula - yes, it´s really something what I need to know! :-)
