How to Play- Roll 2 dice to move around the board. You can use regular or electronic dice. Click here for electronic dice.
- Read a book for the genre, category, or theme of the square you land on before rolling again. You may plan up to one roll in advance.
- Choose books from your existing shelves if you can (real or virtual).
- If you need ideas, ask!
- If you land on a "Partner Pick" square, request in the game thread for someone to choose a book for you to read from one of your shelves (please provide the link to your shelf).
- If you are choosing a book for another player, select from their existing shelves. You may offer a choice of up to 3 books.
- One round is complete when you pass GO. You can play as many times as you like.
- If you find that you're unable to finish a book, you can forfeit the turn by asking for a Partner Pick substitute.

Will you use books across multiple challenges for this one? I did not see any rule against using a title for multiple challenges.

hi I'm new to these book challenge s but bookopoly looked do much fun I thought I'd give it a go. rolled a 9 which is tradition or change. just wondering what sort of book would fit that? Any ideas please?
Amy wrote: "hi I'm new to these book challenge s but bookopoly looked do much fun I thought I'd give it a go. rolled a 9 which is tradition or change. just wondering what sort of book would fit that? I'm in --- how much fun is this - can't wait to share this with my daughter.

Finished reading The Places in Between by Rory Stewart. Can't wait to roll again.
I choose this book blindly for a specific challenge - having never read the reviews or knowing anything about the author I just began to read. Once I was finished I read the reviews and with each one thought to myself, I agree with this person - good or bad. This book requires you to form your own opinion because it deals with different social, ethical, moral beliefs in which I feel each individual experiences differently. The author did an excellent job describing the land (view) before him and what the people looked like, however, appearances versus truly getting to know an individual was missing - and it’s because he was on a schedule and only stayed in places for one night. I do recommend this book and suggest just picking it up and reading it so that no personal biases are made prior to reading it.
