The first Quidditch World Cup is stuff of legend. It was staged because it was too hard to cover up the fights between those claiming their country's team was the best. It came down the Irish and the Russians. (They didn't have team names, then.) It was an ugly mess. Unfortunately, the people at the game got too drunk to remember even the players' names, let alone who starred. They did remember the score was 151 to 150, although there were arguments about which side was the 151.And there were people talking about the next before they left.
That was when they decided to organize the rules.
The second world cup occurred the following year after the firat.
News had spread about the quidditch world cup, and many more countries entered. The championship came down to France and Portugal. On the French side the chases were Alice Roseworth, Agnes Attalon, and Rydon Luthers. The beaters were Vonner Valentine and Daisy Tulips. The seeker was Alefta Romeo , and the keeper was Nya Lyals. On the Portuguese team the chasers were Raphael Bugsbee, Rosa Bugsbee, and Sofia Bugsbee. The beaters were Lyle Fields and Thomas Misa. The seeker was Lucy Fairyfawns and the keeper was Matilda Mollies. The game was held in Spain. The score was 30 to 40, Portugal leading, when both Lucy and Alefta saw the snitch. Coming on opposite sides they caught at the exact same time! However since Portugal had more points they ultimately won.

The third happened the following year. For the first time, a designated area was prepared in advance to avoid Muggle notice. The teams playing were Bulgaria and Bavaria.
The Bavarian beaters were Gretel Schmidt and Hans Schmidt. (They were fourth cousins.) The chasers were Karl Müller and Hendrick Schwarz. The seeker was Liselotte Winter. The keeper was Agnes Hartman.
The Bulgarian beaters were Aleksandar Konstantinov and Bisera Georgieva. The chasers were Desislav Serafimov and Elisaveta Mincheva. The seeker was Iva Vladimirova. The keeper was Kiril Petkov.
After thrilling episodes involving a dragon, a pixy, and a love potion, the referees produced new rules. These had been kept secret for fear of giving people ideas. This began the sport of rules chasing, attempting to establish a definite set of rules. During the game, the referees devised a new rule to deal with them. Any team caught committing an act in order to discover a rule had committed a foul.
The score reached 50 Bulgarian and 10 Bavarian when a dragon entered the field. During the confusion, Winters caught the snitch. The referees ruled that since no one had induced it to enter the playing area, her catch was valid.
During the game, no less than fifty Muggles were found in the stands. At the end, the conclusion was that the field had to be made more secure.
