Patrizia wrote: "As usual, I'm not sure I understood one of the required tasks ... Is this
a ship or only a boat?"Sorry, Patrizia, it looks like a canoe or a boat to me. I have a hard time with this prompt for the challenge as well.
This is the definition of a ship:
"A ship is a large watercraft that travels the world's oceans and other sufficiently deep waterways, carrying passengers or goods, or in support of specialized missions, such as defense, research and fishing. Historically, a "ship" was a sailing vessel with at least three square-rigged masts and a full bowsprit."
I think a sailboat would qualify as a ship?
September Mini challenge - 2018 Duration: September 1, 2018 - September 30, 2018
Completed: 5/5 👑 Finished
@ JulesyAlso in my opinion it's a boat, but I've seen the term "boat" as a synonym of "ship" for which I wanted to be safe. Well, maybe I found a book about a pirate's legend: it should be fine, right? If only I found the one with the apples on the cover that I had left aside because I thought it would be one of the demands of this challenge ...

Yeah, I agree. Looks like the prompt changed because I had a book with a parrot on the cover for the prompt but "parrot" is no longer there and "boat" is. So I switched my book to one with a boat.
Julesy -- I did change it to read "ship/boat," but while "parrot" was part of this particular challenge the last couple years, I decided to change it up a bit this year and use "treasure" instead. 😉
I read the book of Annelise Ryan in August because I thought the cover was wrong... :-(I've to find a book for this task...
Heather L wrote: "Julesy -- I did change it to read "ship/boat," but while "parrot" was part of this particular challenge the last couple years, I decided to change it up a bit this year and use "treasure" instead. 😉"Not a problem, Heather! It's good to change it up. Boat is definitely easier to find than a ship. Thanks for that.

Don't forget that for the ship/boat prompt, it can either be on the cover or part of the story -- if that helps at all. ;-)
