Mila comes into the sitting room, pretty upset. She was hoping she would find a date before the ball, but it's too late. The other day she went for ice cream with a friend, only to be forgotten. She has stormed out, hoping no one but the girl noticed. There was this boy in there that her new friend had been drooling over, so it left Mila no choice but to leave. There was another boy that caught Mila's eyes, but she never introduced herself. She doesn't believe anyone like him could have wanted to date her. She laughs at herself and sits down sadly

Jason entered the room and looked around. "Hi I'm Jason Moon. " he said as he saw the girl.

Mila hears someone enter and she looks up at them. A boy.
"Mila-Rose Adams. But call me Mila."

" What are you doing here by yourself? A beautiful girl like you should be at a ball by herself. " Jason said smiling.

Mila blinks, and sighs.
"I'm here all alone because unfortunately nobody asked me to go with them to the Ball."
Mila cocks her head.
"What you said, is that supposed to be a compliment?"

"What? A beautiful girl like you?" he asked.

"After that. 'should be in a ball by herself?"
She is confused.
"That was a compliment?*

"I meant she shouldn't be. "
