I hear that this is a good series. I don't know much about it either.

I read it recently and really enjoyed it!

Chapter 1:

Chapter 15 - (view spoiler)[It's sad how both Aria and Perry were made outcasts. They may have different circumstances but they both have the same goal of protecting/saving who they love.

I wonder why they took Talon?? Surely it wasn't only for Aria's eyepiece? I sense corruption at the Reverie. Why would they kidnap a young boy? Bet it was leverage against the Tides somehow

I'm glad this book didn't have instalove! I find it funny how Perry calls her Dweller and she calls him a Savage. Aria even thought Perry was 'hideous' hahaha! (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I actually found the book interesting even before they met. It did take a quarter of the book to get there but I thought the pacing was just right! It doesn't feel as though romance is the main focus of the book. I quite like the romance element taking a backseat :) (hide spoiler)]

Under the Never Sky reminds me why I don't read much Dystopia or Fantasy. I'm having a really hard time with the terms. What the heck is Aether? Oh, I'm so bad at this T.T

Well I decided to read something else for Part 3 #6, so I am not sure if I will be able to get to this book this month now. We will see!! I apologize, but I'll be back if I end up reading this for another Jumanji challenge requirement :) Enjoy!!

I finally know what Aether and the Realms are, woohoo! But I think that the explanations came a hundred pages too late. However, after I understood the terms and concepts, it became easy to enjoy the book.

Chapter 2: (view spoiler)[This was my problem when I first read this book: the terms. Though I know what Reverie, Realms, Bliss, Pods, Smarteye, Senses are, it gets confusing sometimes.

Anyway, I think Aria's mother is dead. Or at least, told like that in this book. Maybe in the 2nd or 3rd there are more clues to her existence. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 7: (view spoiler)[It's easy to say this book is predictable. That Songbird file doesn't sound like good news, and Consul Hess would obviously throw her out, not really send her to her mom to make her go. Which brings me closer to my guess that Lumina is dead that's why Hess found it easier, or maybe just because of his authority. I'm wondering if Paisley and the others actually survived. Chapter 20: (view spoiler)[I think Cinder has a powerful ability, but I didn't thought it is to control the Aether! He's scary! (hide spoiler)]

Character Thoughts:
(view spoiler)[I really liked the characters in this book, and how their relationship seemed to grow. Aria's and Perry's "disgust" for others not like them didn't just disappear right away, and actually took work, which I liked. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[The plot wasn't as "twisty" and surprising as some of the other books I've read recently, it was still amazingly put together! (hide spoiler)]

World Building Thoughts:
(view spoiler)[I liked how this book built the world, as it didn't over do it in areas that weren't necessary, such as not going too in depth in life in the Pods when the story didn't even take place there. Overall, it taught us enough of the world without overwhelming us. (hide spoiler)]

Overall Thoughts:
(view spoiler)[I really really loved this book, a lot more than I expected actually! If I didn't have so many other books planned first, I definitely would've started the next book already! (hide spoiler)]

I Still don't know much of what is going on... we kind if started the book in the middle of the story, so I hope we get some terms explained to us later. (The only thing I did get is hat everyone in Reverie lives linked to kind of a intranet thing - the virtual world- and this is the bigger part of their world)

And... Soren is fricking crazy!
He just went totally Wild there! He's gonna get them killed! The fricking loose Fire and did he try to pull that "smarteye" thingy out of her eye???!!! He almost clawed her eye out! Creepy and I'm scared of this guy.. he's the savage here, clearly! o_o

So our real "savage" Perry has appeared... I'm guessing he'll help Aria?! We'll see... (hide spoiler)]
