we are fans of this genre, and it's always fun to explore either stand-alones or some of the really epic series available here

I am a big urban fantasy fan; books that are set in our world and time, and include werewolves, vampires, magic, and other such things are right in my reading happy area. My very favorite author in this genre is Patricia Briggs. She has a couple of companion series going, and I've read and re-read every single book many times. As I was wrapping up the end of 2017 and starting 2018, I reread one of my favorites: Fair Game. In this book, the main characters Anna and Charles are working to solve a mystery. They are werewolves, and each have an important role in the werewolf world. They travel to Boston, where I lived for a few years, so it's fun to hear about their adventures in a new place. (They live in Montana.) Evil witches, stalwart FBI agents, bad guys who are truly terrible, mushy being-in-love, and the world-building of the werewolf rules and society all mix together to make this an exciting mystery! (This is book #3 in the series, and could stand alone; but if you like this, I'd suggest reading the rest of the series to see how Anna and Charles built their relationship.)
