Teens @ Pewaukee Public Library discussion

The two main characters in this book, Deryn and Alek, each come from two different countries who are at war. Yet as the story progresses they find themselves working together. Why do you think they decided to work together? Do you think that this was a good idea, or should they have focused more on helping their respective countries win the war? What problems might arise in the future because of their collaboration? Or do you think there will be benefits to Deryn and Alek working together?
