Behind Closed Doors by B A Paris would be a good choice.
I recommend Red Notice by Bill Browder, which I read last year. It's non-fiction, but it reads like a thriller. Somehow, it seems even more exciting because it is true.
This sounds like a fun challenge. In case you need some book ideas, I have an exciting mystery called Log Off, if you want to check it out.
