Name: Mitsuhide KeriywkrawAge: 25
Species: Sentient Being
Appearance:

Description: Mitsu is about 5'8". His hair is a dark coffee colour, similar in shade to his eyes. Mitsu doesn't boast the most masculine -or best looking- features in the world, but there is always an unusual formal and attractive aura about him.
Personality: Mitsu is a crafty, clever young man. He spends most of all of his time studying the abstract, on occasion studying strategy and occasionally writing works of fiction. He enjoys the quiet, but will not be angered if that quiet is disturbed. Like most of the males in his family, he is a helpless romantic, and is terrible with women, regardless of whether they are just his friend or potential romantic interest.
Likes/Strengths: caffeinated beverages; clever thinking; well-rounded; smoking (misses it)
Dislikes/Weaknesses: romantically challenged; somewhat self conscience; excessive amounts of noise; stupid people
Background: Mitsu was born to the sentient Keriywkraw family, a family that has ruled over this province for over four thousand years... as a single generation. Mitsu was the youngest addition to the family, born for the sole purpose of bringing balance and control back into the family's hands. As was predicted, twenty-five years later, business threatened the integrity of the family rule, and Mitsu was used as a medium to control the situation, being arranged to marry the daughter of the most powerful magic extracting and technology company to be seen for miles.
Other: Mitsu is the youngest member of his sentient family, being twenty-five when his older brother is three hundred and eighteen. He knows very little in comparison to his family, and therefore, he has learned to avoid questioning things he doesn't understand or agree with, out of fear of the unknown being something that would hurt to know. That being said, long story short, he doesn't know anything about how his family functions.
Olivia refused to look at the driver as he opened the door of the vehicle and offered his hand to help her step down. Ignoring him, she stepped out on her own, looking around up at the large building in front of her. In attempt to create a friendly atmosphere, Olivia's father arranged for her to meet her fiancé at a restaurant with large glass statues and water fountains at its center. It was lit with neon blue, green, and magenta, making it seem more like a club than anything else. Sighing, she began to head towards the door.
Mitsu sat back in his chair, taking small sips of his fancy little drink periodically as his eyes scanned his surroundings. A restaurant isn't a restaurant without seventeen guards, now is it? Perfect place to meet someone. A place where there is more security than the once renown White House... Mitsu took in a deep breath and let out a sigh filled with sadness. He watched the door of the private room that he sat in, running his finger across the edge of the glass he drank from, and placing his feet on the table as he eagerly awaited his ecstatic guest. His fiance.
At the door she let the attendants remove her black jacket, revealing the indigo purple dress she wore underneath. Though Olivia wasn't particularly fond of formal restaurants, she did like to dress up and despite not looking forward to meeting a stranger, she couldn't wait to show off. Walking smoothly past the other dinner guests, following the waitress to a private room, Olivia took a deep breath and smoothed the skirt of her dress. Then with a gesture, the waitress opened the door and she stepped inside.((Her dress: (view spoiler)))["br"]>["br"]>
Quickly and gracefully, Mitsu swung his legs off the table and to the ground as he placed his glass on the table in exchange. Getting up, he straightened his suit and walked to the door, awaiting her to enter the room. As she did so, with in the first step, Mitsu nodded his head and smiled. A hollow smile, but a smile nonetheless. "Glad you could make it, Ms. Prinsen. A few people would've had my head had you not," he attempted to joke, "However, I think that I would be the first to have my own head." He didn't expect her to understand that comment right away. He still didn't fully understand it himself, but it was a family saying, and for the sake of formalities, or rather formalities in his family's eyes, that meant saying something as cryptic as such.
Looking up at the man, Olivia had to stifle the urge to roll her eyes. Her fiancé's smile had as much warmth as a robot and she suddenly had a feeling that things won't progress much from there. Still, she smiled back, a gentle politeness gracing her lips as she was taught ever since her family emerged among the upper class. She wasn't sure what he meant, his words seeming to wrap around themselves, but she sensed whatever he said was meant to be taken lightly so Olivia let out her breath in what could be explained as a soft laugh. "Good thing, then, or else I think the conversation would be quite lacking if you have your own head, Mr. Keriywkraw."
"Perhaps it would have. However, at the same time, it seems to be lacking at the movement as well, wouldn't you agree?" Mitsu walked over to his original spot at the table, and poured his fiance a glass of wine, topping his off while he was at it. As he walked back, he began to speak again. "We both know that conversations between us are going to be quite lacking. We can already tell. That's problem number one. Problem number two is that neither one of us agreed to this, am I wrong?" Mitsu used his hand with his glass to notion to the entire room and themselves. "So, formalities aside, let's get down to business."
Folding herself comfortably in the chair across from him, she took the glass of wine from him with a small nod of thanks. Taking a small sip, an amused smirk curled the corners of her lips as she listened to him. Then when he mentioned business, however, that lightness in her eyes faded and she down her glass as she leaned forward slightly. "Actually, you are wrong, Mr. Keriywkraw. We would not be here if that was the case. And what business do you want to discuss?" Her voice was a little more sharp than she meant it, but she wasn't sure why the man insisted in such formal behavior. It did not help her doubts that he called an arranged marriage as business and she wondered what the man was like underneath this current mask he was wearing.
"My apologies then for jumping to conclusions." He paused for a moment, getting up to look out the large back window of the room. "Maybe business isn't the word for it, but I don't see any other word to describe the situation much better. You could say that this 'business' is not our business to discuss, but business that has already been done, and business that neither one of as agreed with." He turned back to Olivia, and sat back in his chair. "I really should stop being cryptic." He smiled. An actual smile ironical. "How are you feeling about the situation we were forced into? I'm curious as to your feelings on the matter. Like to see how different they are from mine."
"As I have said, Mr. Keriywkraw, you are mistaken. I am one who actually did agree to this arrangement," Olivia said, slowly swirling the wine in her glass. Leaning back, her eyebrow rose slightly, finding his genuine smile more refreshing. Unconsciously, her shoulders relaxed somewhat and she nodded in agreement. "Being cryptic is more crippling to any real conversation in my opinion. My mother is too cryptic that even she doesn't know what she's saying." There was a lightness in her tone as she said this, though maybe a hint of disappointment as well in the depths of her eyes. "And as to what I feel, I don't expect anything to come out of this marriage, however, if it is your wish as well, we can begin with just being friends."
Mitsu leaned back in the chair, a deep sigh stifled as he did so. "At this point, it matters not what I wish. It's the thing about arranged marriages. As apposed to the idea as I am, I -we- are forced to do this." He said, pointing his finger quickly back and forth between the two of them. "I would be just a friend if I was not obliged to do my family a favour." He took an elongated sip of his drink, closing his eyes and breathing in as he did so. As he looked back at her, he leaned forward, and continued to talk. "It's surprising, you know. You don't seem to be the type of person that would agree to such a arrangement without fully knowing the person you were to be wedded to, Ms. Prinsen. Neither do you seem the person to be stupid enough to walk into a arrangement as such blindly. What was going though your head?"
Raising her chin, Olivia smiled slightly, ironic and amused. "I will take that as a compliment." Weaving her fingers together, she perched her elbows delicately on the table in front of her, her hair cascading down one shoulder. "At the moment of my compliance with my father's wishes, I was thinking that though I do not like him forcing myself into this, it was something that will help my business. As part of the monarchy, I doubt you had to worry over such things as money and making a living as our company does. We have competition as well that have been trying to ruin the enterprise my father has built and it does help our security to have the support of the monarchy."
"I'm sure that there are plenty of reasons why a monarchy would have a business marry into it. If not, there would be no point, for, like you said, I doubt that a monarchy would need to worry over such things as money and making a living. But nonetheless, I find it interesting that you feel the need to support your family over yourself. The question is why?" Mitsu leaned forward a little bit more, almost mimicking the way that Olivia positioned herself, with his own little twist here and there to make it more comfortable. He quickly grabbed a menu from his side and handed it to her. "Of course, you don't need to answer that. I don't want to this to sound like an interrogation after all. We can talk about something else if you wish."
Her brow crinkled in puzzlement at his question as she absently took the menu he handed her and flipped it right side up for herself. Her eyes barely glanced down at it as she studied the man in front of her. "I don't care whether this is an interrogation or not. To be frank, it is much better than the social dances with words that people do nowadays taking a hundred words to mean one thing." Flipping open the menu, she drew her eyes away from him and though she was looking at words, she wasn't processing them. "I am not supporting my family. At least, not supporting my mother. I'm doing this for my father and for the company with the many customers that rely on us."
"Well, I suppose that that's a way to go about it, if not the best way to go about it." Mitsu took a moment to think to himself, continuing to talk to Olivia as he did so. "I happen to be supporting my family, even if it is against my will to do so. My family comes first, regardless of my feelings on the matter. It sort of an honour thing that most people can't understand these days." He took a breath, and as he realised that her eyes were locked on the menu, and not his, he too looked at the menu. "But yes. Perhaps starting off by being friendly in some shape or form would be a good way to start this relationship off... Similarly, I'm not the best at starting conversation. Would you care to start a friendly conversation?"
Her eyes flicked up to him and she smiled, finding his last question amusing. Setting her menu down, she leaned forward slightly, raising an eyebrow at him. "Of course. Sounds like a perfect idea." There was a pause as if there was an invisible reset button being pressed. Olivia looked down at the menu again briefly before meeting the Mr. Keriywkraw's eyes again. "I'm a fan of the lobster dishes they serve here. I have to say that seafood is a weakness of mine. What about you?"
Mitsu smiled. "I too, have a strong weakness to seafood, however, I find crab much more appealing. It's saltier and less sweet then lobster." Mitsu put his menu down as well, mirroring her as though to compliment her every movement. "Shall we go on a first name basis Ms. Prinsen? I believe that this conversation would seem quite a bit less formal and more comfortably casual if we did... Or maybe not. Perhaps the formal air is just me seeming like some sort of rich prick." Mitsu smiled jokingly at his last statement, briefly breaking eye contact to glance at the menu once more. "If you like seafood, how do you feel about sushi? My family happens to be quite good at making it, as stereotypes and rumours might imply."
She did give a short laugh at his joke and she thought to herself that it went both ways since now her family had wealth. As her mouth opened to reply to his suggestion, she suddenly switched gears at the word "sushi" and let out an excited gasp. Not caring it wasn't appropriate for a "lady" of her standing, Olivia scooted her chair forward, smiling. "Yes! Can we? I haven't has sushi in forever. My parents never go with me anymore and my acquaintances either have delicate stomachs or are allergic."
Mitsu's smile grew bold, bold to the point where he had no choice but to release the bold in a form of soft laughter. "Of course we could eat sushi. With a sob story like that, the next three meals that we'll have together will be just that." He shook his head briefly. "I'm sorry to hear that you've had friends with delicate stomachs. I've never had friends with that issue before, so I can't relate, but I can certainly understand. Sushi is one of my favourite types of food. It's saddening when someone else cannot enjoy something as delicious as such." He thought for a moment to touch back on the topic of talking to each other on a first name basis, but if she hadn't brought it back up then that likely means that she didn't care much for the idea. Or so he thought. He'd likely stick to that thought.
"No, it's not exactly like that. I would say they choose to have delicate stomachs." Shaking her head, Olivia smiled to herself as she thought of the young women she socialized with. They always went into hysterics just thinking of medium rare steak and the idea of something raw was just too much for them. Usually at least one of them would flap her hand to fan her face as if the idea was enough to send her into unconsciousness. Sometimes Olivia wonder how she could associate with those people in the first place. She ran a hand through her blonde locks, tilting her head slightly. "But yes, it is unfortunate they can't enjoy it." She though about telling him her name, but right now wasn't the moment to drop just a subject.
Mitsu hmm'ed at most of her words, not knowing how to reply to it in the most... effective manner possible. He nodded as she finished her final sentence. "Food aside," Mitsu began, "I'm well aware of how famed your father's company is in mechanics. Have you taken up mechanics as well? I could only assume that that would be the case, given how much more you seem to take to your father over your mother." Mitsu slowly covered his mouth as he realised what had just passed his lips. "Forgive me, was that out of line? I don't mean to be rude, so please, slap me if I am."
Her lips pulled down in a small frown and she looked away from her companion, something passing through the depths of her eyes. "It was out of line, but if it's a slap you want, you won't get it. I know how people view my mother and frankly I tend to agree with them more than not," Olivia said, a small smile flickering across her face. Looking at him again, she added, "As Olivia Florence Prinsen, I take after my father because not only do I have an affinity with technology, but it is my goal to take over my father's business in the future."

Her father's business became the top magic mining and invention company in their part of the country. As her family grew more popular, Olivia's lifestyle changed. Gone were the times she spent with her family and her mother became more obsessed with greed.
