I'm officially four volumes into this series (and Raven: The Pirate Princess is next!) and it was practically written for this category. It's entire purpose is to turn the classic "damsel in distress" trope on its head and the stories have done this very well so far!
With later volumes, I'm happy to see that they not only address the "strong" female protagonist, as it physical strength, but also came to focus on Strong Female Protagonists with depth and diversity.
