So, I've now finished the book.

I got more into it around The "C" Word. Many of us agreed over on the facebook discussion that it started off a little strangely. I think a little rearranging may have done to book a lot of good.

The book was never what I wanted it to be. I wanted the chapters to be tighter and more essay-like but that's not who she is. She's a storyteller. The last chapter was actually on of my favorites. It ended to book in a good place.

I was curious before starting the book if it was written before she came out publicly and it definitely looks like that is the case. I'll be honest, I'd have been more interested if it had been after. It probably would have added something for me.

As it was, I found the book interesting enough. Nothing great but I don't regret reading it. There was one line that I so identified with. "College is wasted on the cautious."
