Just curious, what are some of the best books you have read that none of your friends have ever heard of!?

It's hard being a fan when no one else will discuss things with you

Heres one of my favorite books that no one has heard of! It's basically a mix of Harry Potter and Hunger Games!

The Castaway King Chronicles Afer The Dark by Spencer Labbe

Incredible book debut by such a young author! One of my favs <3

laurel [the suspected bibliophile] (laurelthereader) OMG I have sooo many of these!!

The Road Home (Echo Company, #5) by Ellen Emerson White
No one has ever heard of this book! It was one of the first YA books I ever read, and it is an incredible story (an emotionally difficult one, but so, so good).

The Seer and the Sword (Healer and Seer, #1) by Victoria Hanley
No one has ever heard of this one either. I loved the twists and turns and how all of the story threads get tangled together. Plus: fantasy! Woo hoo!

And a gajillion more, but I won't bore you all :)

JAKe Hatmacher (jakehatmacher) Heart of the Country by Greg Matthews , a rollicking...oh, maybe not rollicking, but filled with rambunctious activity that is sometimes funny, but more often filled with human conflict in this story of a young hunchbacked "half-breed."

Kim M | 32 comments I think Courtney Alameda is great and underrated:

Shutter by Courtney Alameda
Pitch Dark by Courtney Alameda

Keep Calm Novel On (keepcalmandnovelon) | 302 comments Firefly: Ice Born by PM Pevato
A truly original must read.

message 10: by Louie (new)

Louie I read Witchtown by Cory Putman Oakes last year and loved it, though it is sadly mostly unknown with only 289 ratings on goodreads.

message 11: by Estee (new)

Estee Hull (esteehull) The One Thing, by Marci Lyn Curtis

message 12: by Maillie (new)

Maillie (bookloverbug) | 16 comments The gone series. It's an amazing dystopian series that I've slowly been getting kids in my grade to try reading. It's starting to catch on, but just barley!

georgiaotaku (daogotaku) I’m not sure if it is a book not commonly heard of but “The Rest of Us Just Live Here” by Patrick Ness is one of the best books I have read in a long time.

Think of all the hero books and that special group of kids who save the world... then tell the story of the normal kids who have to live in that world surrounded by those special kids. It was so good I couldn’t put it down. I kept thinking about it even after I finished.

My other one would be “More Happy Than Not” by Adam Silvera.

That book made me THINK and the twist was one I never saw coming. It shocked me and changed my life no joke.

This is a historical fiction urban fantasy. I read it a few years ago and loved it, but for some reason never finished the series

Nova Syzygy (novatheproxy) | 151 comments I have a few. Here they are:

A Matter of Days by Amber Kizer

Dove Arising (Dove Chronicles, #1) by Karen Bao

Dove Exiled (Dove Chronicles, #2) by Karen Bao

Dove Alight (Dove Chronicles, #3) by Karen Bao

(The next four are technically middle grade, but I think the should be YA instead, especially the first three.)

Last Day on Mars (Chronicle of the Dark Star, #1) by Kevin Emerson

The Oceans Between Stars by Kevin Emerson

The Shores Beyond Time by Kevin Emerson

The Forbidden Library (The Forbidden Library, #1) by Django Wexler

Partials (Partials Sequence, #1) by Dan Wells

Fragments (Partials Sequence, #2) by Dan Wells

Ruins (Partials Sequence, #3) by Dan Wells

The Ability (The Ability, #1) by M.M. Vaughan

The Neptune Project (The Neptune Project, #1) by Polly Holyoke

And many more I can't seem to think of at the moment.

Bailey Grimm None of my friends have heard of The Young Elites Trilogy by Marie Lu. They only know of Legends. I think this trilogy is phenomenal and The Midnight Star killed me.

I love that series! I can't believe they haven't read it.

One I had gotten an ARC of, and currently only has 188 ratings, that I really enjoyed was Analiese Rising. Everyone knows the Uglies series, but Scott Westerfeld had a less popular book called Peeps that I really liked, too.
EDIT:
OH! And I Am the Cheese! It's a great book I read as a teenager (that I had never heard of until a friend convinced me to read it).

Ana Bianca Cotta (anabiancacotta) | 3 comments Until I Find You by Graciela Mayrink by Graciela Mayrink

This is my favorite Brazilian book. It's a young adult romance with student life/university and Wicca. I read all books from this author and I loved them all but this one is my favorite and her most famous in Brazil.

It's free to download on Amazon this weekend: https://www.amazon.com/Until-Find-You...
