Just Jules and her Book (justjulesandherbook) | 2 comments Good Afternoon, I came across your Goodreads group which I love! And was wondering if you would be interested in reviewing any of Kia’s books. She is a multi-award winning author with different genres including Contemporary Romance, Paranormal Romance, Young Adult and Erotica. The two I would probably highlight is her Paranormal Romance/ Dystopian, Token Huntress and My Escort, Contemporary Romance if you are interested She would love to hear your honest opinion and review on her work. Hope you are having an awesome day and talk soon.

Anne Schroeder (anneschroederauthorgmailcom) | 3 comments Hi I love coffee and books. I also love writing. Would anyone be up for reading my pre-release historical fiction novel of the Oregon Trail? It's called Walk the Promise Road. A down-to-earth romance with grit and spirit. My publisher wants 20 reviews on Amazon in the launch week Yikes! If you're up for a good read, please message me or email info@anneschroederauthor.com and I'll send a link to the PDF. Thanks.

Do you have an excerpt somewhere?

Is this story in first- or third-person?

Are the POV's of both MCs used?

How old are the MCs?

Is the sex steamy, explicit, erotica, fade to black, non-existent?

How long is the story?

Is the story completed in this one book?

Anne Schroeder (anneschroederauthorgmailcom) | 3 comments Wow, great questions. Third person, POV mostly in hers, some in his. It's a stand-alone, 66k words, sweet, angsty, fade to black.

Luke is mid-20s mixed race (Umatilla/Scots) trail guide, wary of white girls after the eastern school his trapper father forced him to attend after his Indian mother's death. Mary Rodgers has convinced her first cousin Philip to take her with him to Oregon, following the death of her entire family from enfluenza. Raised as bro and sis with the same last name, her plan is that they pose as husband and wife, knowing that if they get caught the wagonmaster will insist they marry. Philip protests. His fiancee, the love of his life is waiting in Oregon. The plan is complicated when Luke is drawn to the couple and, inevitably, to Mary. She must hold to her promise to Philip to maintain the facade, even though fellow travelers gossip about the overly friendly threesome. I can send an excerpt. Not sure I can clutter the comment section here. Can you email me at anneschroederauthor.com?

Thanks, Anne. I wasn't in need of a summary of the story, and you can delete that, especially if there are any spoilers. Just in case there are, I didn't read it.

I like to have a sample of an author's writing; hence, my request for an excerpt. Do you have an excerpt on your website or somewhere else?
