Hello all, it's that time again.

Place your book suggestions here, one nomination and one second per person. Do read through the rules first, please. Feel free to nominate books that have failed selection previously.

1. All nominations must be shelved on GR as fantasy primarily.

2. All nominations must be linked to their book page, or they'll be ignored.

3. All nominations must be seconded.

4. Check our group bookshelf as we won't be including books we've read since January 2015. Check here https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

5. No self-nominations.

You have a week to nominate, then I'll set up the poll.

Helen :)

I'll nominate The Disappearance of Winter's Daughter. It's a stand alone. I'll second A Shadow in Summer

Michael J. Sullivan is an author i intend to read this year as I haven't thus far. Would this be a good place to start as its a standalone?

Well, that's tough. From what I understand this story is a little different from Mr. Sullivan's other works. Kind of like a mystery fantasy (though I haven't read it). I can say I've never read a bad book from Michael Sullivan. He is one of my favorites.

It's the fourth in a set but, I believe, it's a standalone. The other three are. That said, starting at the beginning is better as you'll pick up connections between them.

Jason | 131 comments Thanks guys. My natural inclination would be to start from book 1 but the standalone thing threw me. I look forward to getting into Sullivans work.
In the meantime I'll nominate Mage's Blood again asDavid Hair is another author I've pencilled in for this year
