Challenges from Exploding Steamboats discussion

Laura suggested this challenge, based on a map showing the most famous book in each of the USA states as well as some discussion over in BookCrossing's Book Talk forum about how to improve the list.

I decided not to put a time frame on this challenge, since the list of states is not likely to change much from year to year (::fingers crossed::) and some people may want to take a more leisurely literary tour of the country. This thread will be for people to post links to the various lists they come across, and I will add a thread for each state. I will probably add bonus threads for DC, Puerto Rico, and such.

Yay! I have books I can add to each state. I like having a bunch of people involved. I can start anew and not have to count the ones from the initial list!

Definitely intend to play this game. I have a 666 I have been working on for a while that I need to finish as well, so it helps that this is more open-ended as to time frame.
