I read Chosen By a Horse which is a memoir that, pretty much incidentally, happens in New York. I'm sure I'll read another that's a better fit for this challenge, but this one will do for now.

Finished with The Archaeology of Home: An Epic Set on a Thousand Square Feet of the Lower East Side, a book whose title says it all.

Another book I read set in NY: I Am Not Myself These Days. A great memoir about a drag queen and his life with a male escort. Really enjoyed it.
