I'm probably going to join too. I bought the second book. The first I borrowed from the library and it was so good!
I need to pick up a copy myself. I wanted to do audio (because I did the first thst way) but I think I'll be doing a physical one.
Yay! I completed the 1st book a couple of weeks ago (too late for the Buddy Read)Cannot wait to read the next one.
I'm tentative on this one. I already have like 10+ books lined up for Feb, and most are super long. I really want to join in though so will try to make it work.
I am hoping to get the audio for this one. Maybe tonight. But then I will have to split my time between it and Warbreaker...might be starting a little late.
Saar wrote: "Anyone started already? I think I'll start the 2nd half of this month."I started end of January in audio but there are so many books vying for my attention that I read only 5 chapters :p
Tried to do this one in audio but I was too confused with all the names... Read a summary of The Shadow of What Was Lost, and restarted with the ebook version.Much, much better!
I listened to the first one on audio, so I'm not sure how my brain will handle the switch to the physical book.
Yeah, I read the first one on my Kindle. I couldn't connect the pronunciation of the names to their written forms.I hope you'll fare better with the switch than I did!
Read the prologue and first chapter. I like having the pronunciations from having listened to the audio. And I really like the writing, I had forgotten how good it was.
Through chapter 17 and I am really liking this one! I'm glad I'm doing the physical book. Although I am much better with audio now, so it probably would have gone well either format. I just want to find out everything with all of them. And he handles them being separated really well so far. Wasn't sure how it would be with all of our main people in different places.
I've started yesterday, but I'm not further than a summary of the first book, so I can't discuss it at the moment. But it's good to have a short review on the previous book.
