THESE FEW CHAPTERS WERE SO CUTE LIKE IT WAS SO HARD TO CONTAIN MYSELF!!

'"You are a fractured snowflake, a pattern repeated in infinite detail in a world full of salt crystals. You're not broken - you're perfect."'

This literally has to be one of my favorite quotes of all time! I feel like it's something that everyone needs to hear about themselves, especially in such a cruel world. I think Lily especially needed to hear that, as it's obvious that she has spent her entire life thinking that she is broken. To hear that she is quite perfect in her boyfriend's eyes is so heartwarming and even had me tearing up lol! This entire scene convinced me that Abelard and Lily were meant for each other, as both of them have had issues with people understanding and accepting them. Abelard has the ability to understand the complexity of how Lily thinks and Lily understands the obligations Abelard has in terms of speaking and communication.

Even when Abelard was willing to go to Portland by train with Lily, (like I mentioned before, I don't approve of them wanting to run away from home, but the underlying thought of it all is sweet lol) I found that sweet, as it shows that Lily is the first person that Abelard can connect with and wants to share his life with. Seeing Abelard being happy with Lily is so heartwarming and I'm really excited to see how their relationship progresses!

Ahaha Ana your first sentence made me laugh and I AGREE!!

Awh that is so sweet Ana. I agree! I couldn't have said it better myself! I kind of felt like they were maybe falling in love too quickly but this chapter helped me see to that they are meant to be together and it was beautiful! It was written so beautifully (the snowflake stuff).
I also found that you could tell he had rehearsed it and this added to the autistic part of his character.
However I do still feel like the "I love you" came a tad too early. BUT I'M HAPPY FOR THEM!
I also felt as though Abelard's autism was seen in his struggle to communicate how he felt Lily was perfect. But then he hugs Lily and... I don't know... I feel like maybe it's a little unrealistic. But I guess he just doesn't has a very severe level of autism.

I also love Lily and Rosalind's relationship as I mentioned before. I like how Rosalind just treats her like she would anyone else.

Rosalind and Richard are also so cute! I hope they get together and we see a little more f them together. Rosalind is so smitten and I love it.

Has anyone else noticed that the English teachers are always the teachers that the students connect with and love - because books. (Lily language) I think Mrs Rogers Pena is an incredible teacher.

The only thing that is starting to annoy me about Lily (which you see in Lily in the previous section Ana) is when she just interrupts Rosalind. I feel so bad for her. Lily's life is moving 100mph, so Rosalind never gets to be the friend who shares how she's feeling or shares her good news. There is always something going on in Lily's life that overpowers Rosalind's.
But like you Ana I don't hate Lily for this. I think it adds to the credibility of her character and her ADHD. So to me it seems realistic as a pose to spiteful (which I DO NOT think Lily is).
Even after this unintentional selfish act from Lily, Rosalind is still looking out for her which I love.

It's kind of odd that Abelard's Dad taught Lily's Dad at college.

Again I love that the texting reinforces that they both struggle to communicate in person. But through text they really can express themselves.

Chapter 20: WOW!
A lot went on I think.
I feel really sorry for Iris now; I think she is the one who tries to keep the peace. She hates conflict between her Mum and Lily but knows it's always likely to happen because of Lily's ADHD. She just gets stuck in the middle and that must be hard.

It was good to have Rosalind's parents bring a bit of lightheartedness at the end of the intense chapter.

But I am really annoyed that Lily's Mum got annoyed with Lily and not the Coach!

That's what I thought Maria. The loves seems a little rushed. Like yeah admit you like each other... but not love.
