ps: I see you have another identical thread going. Are you planning o using both Jeffrey? Otherwise it's better to delete the other one (edit and then delete).

I’ve heard that the top advice for aspiring writers is to read. A lot. Last year I did quite a lot of writing, finishing my first draft, but not nearly enough reading. Publicly posting my challenge will keep me engaged, I hope.
Oh, you’re right, that was a dupe post. Seems to be an artefact of writing it on the London tube in-between stations before my connection came back. Will delete it.

It has worked for me that way, so I hope it will for you as well.
Will be looking out for your updates! :)

I'm going to switch gears now from the Pratchett universe and go for The Fall of the Readers - The Forbidden Library #4.

I rated it 5-stars, you can read my review.
This book was the fourth and last of the delightful Forbidden Library middle-grade series.
I finished my third book of the year with time to spare in January.

Truly a creepy story, wonderfully written. Read My Review
Bitte Miss Robson!

lol, you linked to another a human stain so I was like, 384 pages, why wouldn’t that count as a book?!?
But to answer your question, yes it can count as a book. Anything that was published/ brought out separately can count as a book.

I just edited my comment to point to the right book. Using the shortcut (book:a human stain) w/ square brackets didn't work, so just opted for a regular hyperlink.

Book #6 is Dan Brown's Origin. I've been a fan of Dan Brown since Davinci Code, but in my opinion the luster of the subsequent Robert Langdon books has waned, and Origin was no exception.
See my 2-star review.

This isn't usually the type of book I read, but I saw Tor speak at a local author event in London, and her description of the book pulled me in until I decided to give it a read.
My only regret is not buying it that night and getting her to sign it.
See My 5 Star Review.

I have one more finished book I’ve delayed writing a review on, maybe I’ll get to it tonite!
I’m a bit behind, 8 of 36, should be around 9.5 by now.

You can read my 5 star review.
Book #9 is Tangerine by Christine Mangan

That’s one every ten days, 30-40 pages a day, depending. Not too bad. Though my other 2018 challenge is to finish/distribute my YA sci-fi novel.
So far I’ve finished he wonderful Terry Pratchett’s “The Colour of Magic”, and wrote my first review.
I’m going to continue with “The Light Fantastic”, Pratchett’s second Discworld novel, as it seems like a logical continuation. But planning to switch to other authors afterwards.
