Thundertongue shifted cricket's chest to the other side, his arm was getting a little tired. "Which path is the most direct?" He asked Aria.

"We can travel for a bit longer" Thundertongue said "Dark is some time after sundown." turning to cricket, he asked "What did you mean when you said you couldn't leave your things with her

"Mrs. McCready is my neighbor. Not the one I asked to guard my house, mind you. That job was given to Humphrey Gallows. Mrs. McCready, or McGreedy, as we've been known to call her, has had an eye on my silverware for some time, among other things, and she's a well known kleptomaniac. I trust Humphrey to keep her out of my stuff. But these are precautions. If she gets past, I can lose the silver, but not my business."

Thundertongue scoffed. “The audacity of some people. She’s lucky I don’t handle the law enforcement around here, or she’d catch what she deserves. Do you ever have problems with thievery or burglary in your shop?”

"It's an occupational hazard. Luckily, I have a bit of an alarm system." Cricket answered. "But the real answer to your question is no, not really. It's fairly quiet."

Thundertongue nodded knowingly. Just then, there was a crack of thunder. "Perhaps we should stop for the night a bit earlier" he suggested. "We can set camp before the weather becomes too harsh and simply start earlier tomorrow."
