ABBOT by Saladin Ahmed and Sami Kivela
From the site:
After Black Bolt, I am 100% willing to try anything Ahmed is writing. Plus, I hear Kivela is a pretty solid artist--at least from what I've seen/heard about Beautiful Canvas.
From the site:
Hard-nosed, chain-smoking tabloid reporter Elena Abbott investigates a series of grisly crimes that the police have ignored. Crimes she knows to be the work of dark occult forces. Forces that took her husband from her. Forces she has sworn to destroy.

The Seeds, which starts in March, has a pretty amazing line-up on talent: writer Ann Nocenti teaming up with artist David Aja for a new project for Berger Books, the Dark Horse imprint edited by the former Vertigo editor Karen Berger.
I'm looking forward to Godshaper Vol. 1 coming out this Wednesday. I picked up the first issue and decided to trade-wait it what feels like years ago.

I finally looked this up. It looks really good! I'll have to watch out for this one.

-it’s a mini so no long time commitment
-Looking forward to what Liam Sharp can bring to those characters
I'm eagerly awaiting Billionaire Island because I usually enjoy Mark Russell. For things listed above, I loved both "Abbot" and "Godshaper".

Personally, one book I can't wait for is The Terrifics from DC Comics. Coming out in late February, with Jeff Lemire writing and Ivan Reis/Doc Shaner on pencils, it looks to be a fun "small team" title, with lesser-known protagonists and killer character design. Lemire has shown a flair for reinventing obscure DC staples (provided the team doesn't get too large, like Justice League United did), and Shaner brings a clean retro-chic sensibility. Oh, the four main characters are Plastic Man, Phantom
Girl, Mr. Terrific, and Metamorpho, lest I forget to mention such. Those hooked largely on Reis' art should BE AWARE: from what I can grasp, Reis only did the first two or three issues while Shaner moved to West Michigan, and Shaner is apparently the sole penciler from then on.
...I mean, I LOVE Shaner...but I realize he's not for everybody...
So, once more, what books have you counting down the days 'til they arrive?
