Flora Smith (bookwormflo) What is everybody reading?

I have just started Trying To Live With The Dead (The Veil Diaries, #1) by B.L. Brunnemer

So far it doesn't seem like true RH but I've been told that is the direction the story is heading.

Calm Your Pits Just started what?

message 3: by Calm Your Pits (new)

Calm Your Pits Oops didn’t see the pic. It is slow burn so it takes a few books for them to figure it out.

Kewpified | 1 comments I'm reading the 'Rise of the Iliri' series by Auryn Hadley. There are seven books out of ten published so far. It has a strong, intelligent and bad ass heroine who is a natural born leader.

First book in the series is Bloodlust. (I don't know how to attach the link like I've seen posted above.)

This series is a rh, paranormal/scifi that is totally worth your time. Each book is on the long side with no cliff hangers. Btw, don't judge a book by the cover because the cover art is not the best.

I have read all 7 they are really good, would definitely recommend them

message 25: by Flora (new)

Flora Smith (bookwormflo) I have just finished A Demon's Blade I liked it but it was a bit bloody for my taste..

This thread has definitely added to my to-read list :)

message 26: by April (new)

April (aprilsbookishlife) I just got thru re-reading Mind Games (The Disillusionists, #1) and Book 2 Double Cross by Carolyn Crane {these aren't RH}.

It is a slow burn Rh 4 books out (and many more to come) and still no relationship (yes there are confused feelings). Its a great series and I recommend you keep reading, the fact is that this is a realistic RH. The norm isnt RH its just one on one relationships so you get to expirience confusion, jelousy , maybe even some fighting later on. Yes it is a paranormal but there is no soulmate or guardian ty0pe of love where there is an instant love, so the build up and getting to expirience their journey and their feelings I find it worth it and believable. Also from what I have heard there could be 15 books in total, going to college etc. So to just have them all in a relationship at book 3 is a little much. And the story line is great also, so I would say stick with it because its worth it.

message 28: by Bookswithdy (new)

Bookswithdy (dyantha) | 3 comments I started reading Untamed Love it so far. I do have to say the boys sometimes work on my nerves and I wanna kick there asses, and its not quite hard to figure out what or where she belongs even though it's all still a mystery

message 29: by Melissa (new)

Melissa (sweetmaggie1996) | 4 comments I have read the Veil Diaries, but it is taking slow burn to all new levels. This is frustrating... like kiss already... jeez.

its not until the 3rd book that anything really happens with any of the guys.
and by the end of the 4th she's only kissed a couple but its a really good series and I love all the characters

message 31: by Melissa (new)

Melissa (sweetmaggie1996) | 4 comments I know, I don't mind slow, but come on... Once the next book comes out, I will be doing a reread. I am currently reading "Born of Embers" and it is interesting so far.

message 34: by April (new)

April (aprilsbookishlife) I couldn't with Veil Diaries but I like her writing so I bought her adult book. Hopefully it will be good.

message 35: by Charlotte (new)

Charlotte | 6 comments It’s not a RH her adult book

message 36: by Flora (new)

Flora Smith (bookwormflo) I'm about half way through BloodLust. I haven't decided if I like it or not.

That's disappointing. Hopefully it'll still be good. Dang it.

message 38: by April (new)

April (aprilsbookishlife) I just finished books 1, 1.5 and 2 of C.C. Masters Seaside Wolf Pack series in about 2 days. I loved them. Can't wait for book 3 to come out. Now I've started Heart of Darkness by Lauren Dane (which is not an RH). My digital library had it and I liked the cover art so we'll see how it is.

message 39: by Marci Ya (new)

Marci Ya (marciakahuigmailcom) | 10 comments Ooooh I loved the seaside wolf 🐺 pack. How about that cliffhanger 😂 I read lots of books sole bcos of the cover art lol. Love me some cover art lol

message 41: by Marci Ya (new)

Marci Ya (marciakahuigmailcom) | 10 comments So I just finished Stolen: Saving Setora. It’s such a refreshing read. Just when I thought I’d read every plot line out there. I find this little gem. Stolen is a dark dystopian RH centred around a rare female who has ideal genetics and can easily procreate. When the birth rate has dropped substantially. She’s stolen from a tyrant who is about sell her to a despicable man by road pirate MC. I think they’re called the reapers (I know right?). Anyway super interesting if you like dark RH.

That sounds like a great read.

I just finished BloodLust and I thought the world building needed work.

message 43: by Marci Ya (new)

Marci Ya (marciakahuigmailcom) | 10 comments Omg it gets soooo much better as the series evolves. But I agree the world building in bloodlust is epic. Oh man! I think I’m gonna reread rise of Iliri series now lol 😂

message 44: by Charlotte (new)

Charlotte | 6 comments iv read the whole series three times I love it and can't wait for the next one to come out

message 45: by Flora (new)

I saw its on Kindle Unlimitted. I thought I would give it a try.

I'm reading the Wings of Artemis series right now. I'm on Reclaiming Their Love (Wings of Artemis #4) by Rebecca Royce

This series isn't perfect, but its fun.

message 49: by Flora (new)

Flora Smith (bookwormflo) I reading the Royals Trilogy Queen's Guard (Shifter Royalty Trilogy #2) by S. Dalambakis . Does anyone know when the third book will be out?

message 50: by Fairypaige (new)

Fairypaige | 6 comments Just read secrets from the grave from the Veil Diaries and the RH is definitely picking up. I kind of like the slow burn since the relationship dynamic is not something you see everyday. Each boys voice is so different and so is their reactions. Loving it!
Check out Ivy Fox for a rh that is not in the fantasy realm.
