Great idea Derrick. I would be game to invest in a book, almost any book, for the sake of group discussion. I'm already doing that, nearly, on one site where a few of us bought the same book at the same time. The prospects are good if the material is good and expectations and conduct remain mature.I've read the shack and didn't rate it highly, but I would pick it up again if that's where you take this. Let us know. Thanks for leading.
Awesome Eric I hope to start discussion for The Shack on March 1st I want to start with 1 book a month so we don't get ahead of our selves and I would love to discuss it with you as well as others hopefully. Then on March First I going to start with another book that will be discussed on April 1st. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
To make this work we'll need more than 2 commentators. Neither of us has many friends on goodreads, and frankly I don't know many people that are attracted to The Shack. We're going to need to recruit so I suggest we look for people who have The Shack on their "to read" list and reach out to invite them to join us. What say you?

Hopefully the next books will spark interest as well because we are going to change books every two months or so but I definitely like your train of thought.

Secondly, like I said I would love to get to know you all more personally and get an idea for your personality as well as books you might like to suggest that have influenced you. One good way to know somebody more intimately is reading books that they enjoy. I will be making another forum called Introductions for you to introduce yourselves as specifically or vaguely as you want too. Thanks everyone! I look forward to what the future has in store for the group.
