Melody Ryan | 2 comments Hey, I've been craving certain types of books lately and I really wanted suggestions.
I want books that are about a girl who like did something wrong and was sent as a punishment to live on a farm where she meets a guy there and falls in love with him like the book Breaking Alexandria by K.A. Robinson and Lost and Found by Nicole Williams. and I've also been searching for books where the heroine is a little bit naive and shy like the book Last Hit by Jessica Clare and Bad for you by Abbi Glines, the more the shy the heroine the better :D Preferably New Adult So if any of you have any suggestions I'd really appreciate it.

Pam (pamthebikerbabefan) | 16 comments What's been turning me away from a lot of books may not make sense to many is that cover. It's the first draw then the blurb. When I see the same guy over and over again it sticks that picture in my head. It's like watching a serial cheater. i don't know how to explain it. I am especially thinking of one guy in particular. I have seen him so much i want to scream and I just by pass the book.

Lynno Hi Pam, I know exactly what you mean, the cover art does not match the characters AT ALL most of the time, and I'm so tired of seeing the same old six pack and over-developed chest! I'm finding more and more I'm using my Kindle, that way I skip straight to the sample without having to look a the cover art, I only look at if afterwards!

Hi Lynno

Some of the covers seem to have the guys chests all shiny and waxed looking.
I was waiting for two new releases awhile back and pre-ordered them paper back. Two different authors same guy a Duke in one the other an Earl. A lot of authors on facebook post some really hot guys they use for their books. What a relief to see a different variety. I hate those waxy ,shiny chests. The funny thing is it took me awhile to realize what it was that was turning me off to the book and I probably missed some good stories.

Lynno Hi again Pam
"the guys chests all shiny and waxed looking" - yes, that's what I was thinking too! I wouldn't want you to think I want a gorilla on the front cover, but I don't like the idea of a man who'd be spending more time on personal grooming than me! And why oh why, when the author talks about something distinctive about the hero's appearance, for instance a scar, is it never there on the cover?

I love the men Hannah Howell, Terry Spear, Alexandra Ivy etc, puts on their books. They are real alpha looking men and fit in whether in a kilt, regency dress or a business suit. They also don't put the same one on over and over.

Hi Haya,

A very good book by Lucy Monroe, " Moon Craving" Sexy book!!! A hunk in a kilt, Paranormal but mostly about a highland clan chief who marries a young shy englis girl by order of the king, It's series of three books this is the second book but my favorite and a stand alone.

Another book, this one regency and I think humorous is about a shy clumsy American who marries a very bossy straight laced nobleman. "Noble Intentions" by Katie MacAlister.

Pam (pamthebikerbabefan) | 16 comments A while ago I won a book here on Goodread by Elizabeth Bourgeret. I would have never read this book if I hadn't won it. That would have been a terrible loss. This book brought out all my emotions. I don't know how to put links to my reviews but when I closed the last page of this book I had tears in my eyes. A book you won't soon forget.
Captive Heart by Elizabeth Bourgeret It has a rough start. You deal with a womans a the loss of a child, kidnapping, indians. I have read this book three times.

Melody Ryan | 2 comments Thanks Guys for the suggestions wondering if you have any other recommendations about books that has a heroine who was in a cult and managed to escape or something like that because I've been really interested in this topic lately and I like the idea that the heroine was sheltered and is kinda naive I like witnessing the heroine experiencing new things and finding love so if you can help me I would really appreciate it :D
