Hi Kellyyou want three random facts about me Hmmm.
1. I would love to learn how to play an instrument but not coordinated enough.
2. I have traveled extensively out side of the united states. Only part of the job as I was in the USAF and now retired in England.
3. I love reading, but am a slow reader constant but slow.
Who is next don't be shy we wont bite, to hard anyway LOL.
What instrument would you like to learn to play if you could? And haha, I’m a really slow reader some times too! We like to absorb what we read - there’s nothing wrong with that!
I would love to learn the guitar but I am all thumbs. As far as reading goes it not that I wish to absorb the material it is the fact that I was late at learning and still have to sometimes sound out the words in my head.
I’ve always wanted to learn guitar, but unfortunately don’t know much more than a few simple chords. My hands are so small it’s difficult to play! Haha. And oh okay, I totally understand!
@Kelly: Where in Cali are you from? My best friend grew up in Orange County and I visited her there a few years ago.@mrbrooks: Slow and steady wins the race!
I taught myself guitar in high school and ended up doing a lot of busking/fundraising with it. It takes a lot of time and practice to get the hang of it right at the beginning! Also, small hands and guitars can really suck :/
1. I am into film and knowing cultural references. 2. I’m nerdy and I love books but I’m not your typical introverted book nerd. I love fashion and cultural things and I like the finer things in life. I’m basically a mix of Anne Shirley meets Cher Horowitz (from Clueless).
3. I love researching personality types. Some of my favorites are Myers-Briggs, Enneagram, and Strengthsfinder. People and their personalities fascinate me.
1) I am born and bred in sunny Queensland, Australia. Although I really do not like hot weather at all. Or the beach. 2) I am a graduate in psychology with honours and yet I have barely worked in the field and have ended up pretty stuck with my degree. After 3 years out of uni, I am looking at going back to study library info services. Despite how difficult it is to get into the field I have realized this is what I want to do and have always come up with excuses not to follow it through.
3) I know a freaking tonne about alcohol. Craft beers (particularly stouts!), red wine, rum, and tequila are my specialties!
I live about 20 minutes away from Orange County! Haha. I was actually born in OC, but moved to the LA county a few years later. :)
@Hannah I’m a huge fan of films as well. Movies and books are my favorite forms of entertainment! Haha. What are some of your favorite movies?
I love the 16 personalities. I’m an ENFP. What are you?
I love the 16 personalities. I’m an ENFP. What are you?
@Kelly: wow, small world haha. I don't blame you for not travelling far. There is so much good stuff so close in that area!@Hannah: I'm much more a tv show person than movies but I am with you on exploring cultures. I have this fascination with understanding life from other viewpoints/cultural views.
I'm INFJ-T. Apparently I'm rare?
I always feel a bit dubious about it because I know someone who is INFJ too. But all the personality articles say it's only 1-2% that get that result and apparently we are super complex. I mean, I dunno... haha
Maybe we just all congregate together?
Haha. I honestly have no clue how accurate those personality tests are, but I just find it fascinating how closely some of the characteristics of specific personality types match myself.
Well I wouldn’t say that 16personalities is the most accurate test, even though it’s the most popular free one. People often come out as INFJs on that test who aren’t. I had to do extensive research on typology to confirm what I am as I definitely can’t afford the original test. I have confirmed through a sense of rightness through that research that I am, in fact, an INFJ. It’s a lot more complicated than the four letters, which is what 16personalities bases it off, which creates the inconsistencies.Kelly, I have so many friends who are ENFPs! I just naturally click with them.
My top favorite movies are in this order:
1. Lord of the Rings
2. The Lion King
3. Clueless
4. Forrest Gump
5. My Big Fat Greek Wedding
6. Mean Girls
7. The Breakfast Club
8. Bambi

Me to Becca, I know how to drink it LOL.
@Hannah I absolutely love the Lord of the Rings movies, Clueless, Mean Girls, Forrest Gump, the Lion King, and Bambi. I haven’t seen the others yet!
I'm an animation student, and I like getting in long interesting discussions. Also I think you can tell a lot about people by the books they read, that's why this site is interesting.
@Hannah: Oh, okay. I haven’t seen that one yet, but I love Ferris Bueller and Some Kind of Wonderful from that director.
@Fish: That’s so cool that you’re studying animation! Are there any companies in particular that you would love to work for?

1. I have a black lab
2. I love Pretty Little Liars and Sara Shepard
I was just wondering if there was anyone who could read the first five chapters of a new story I'm writing. It's a YA/ Mystery

Anywhere that makes cartoons, but only freelance for now. What other animated movies do you guys like?
My personal favorites are Tangled, How to Train Your Dragon, Meet the Robinsons, and the Incredibles. How about you? :)
I’m an old-school animation fan. Bambi, Lion King, Sleeping Beauty, 101 Dalmatians, etc. I just feel like the actual drawings have more artisanship than the computerized stuff. The drawings convey more beauty and pure art.
Disney's traditional animation was a high form of art. (Kind of under rated in some cases). It's interesting to learn about, too bad it's almost lost now. It's not popular, but I really like Mickey Mouse and the Three Musketeers. I don't know why it's so funny to me.
I like what you would call the old fashioned cartoons. anything by Hanna Barbara Disney you name it. I mean I grew up watching these as the came out not as re-runs.
It's existed for most of my life, also they don't make cartoons as funny as the old episodes anymore. The new ones are lame. haha
Oh Hannah Renee you wound me I am actually old enough to be your Grandfather. My oldest is twice your age plus 1 my youngest is 12 years older then you. SO yes I am old older then Scooby Doo...
1) When I was younger I only read criminal novels, but now I like fantasy and historical novels the most I guess.2) In my free time I like to go for a run in the forest and play instuments. I really like singing, even though my singing skills are not that great (but as long as I have fun and no one is hearing it I plan to continue :D)
3. I am a medical student, which means my free time is and will be pretty limited for a few years lol, but despite that I really love it. I wouldn't change my dream for anything else :-).
Wow Maria impressive. A medical student and you have time to read something other then course work. I have a bit of a clue of what you are going through, and know how hard the work can be so good on you and all credit to you for doing it.Sing if you want don't let anyone tell you to stop. It doesn't matter if you are good or not what matters is how it makes you feel. I tried to play several instruments and have failed at all of them. I use to run but can't now as I had an ACL injury 15 years ago and haven't been able to run since.
Over time our taste in books changes one day you will go back to your criminal novels. The important thing is not what you read, but that you read.
In roman times they use to say "we who are about to die salute you." I want to change that a little. "We who are readers Salute you."
Haha thank you, I feel honoured! I am really sorry about your injury, not being able to run must be tough.
I think it is awesome that you read so much, because many people have a fit body, but not a fit mind. And I know from my Grandfather, that the trained mind is the most valuable thing when you get old. Even though he can't walk much anymore, he still has joy every day in reading books and learning new things. The things he read in his younger age, are those he is never forgetting, but lots of other things he does forget. So I am certain that having fun to read books is what will probably keep us happy when our body won't work perfectly anymore.

For me ...
1) I love playing piano. I'm not the greatest at it, but it's one of my favorite hobbies, after reading!
2) I've never travelled outside the beautiful state of California! I've always wanted to travel, but I've sadly never left my home state. Haha
3) I'm absolutely obsessed with tea. It doesn't matter if it's hot or cold, sweetened or unsweetened, I love it all!
Chat away! <3
