Dorothy Must Die (I admit I never finished the series, but it's a Wizard of Oz retelling and it was great!)
The Host (More sci-fi than fantasy but really engaging and a lot better than the Twilight series imo)
I also rec The Mermaid's Daughter (NA not YA, but a f/f little mermaid retelling that is ahmazing!) and Everless (this was just released or about to be released, my page wouldn't load so I couldn't check for you, but I read the ARC and it's so so good)
I have had Dorothy Must Die on my tbr for the longest time! I really want to read that one some time! I started the Host a while ago, but never finished it. Perhaps I’ll give it another try! I haven’t heard of the Mermaid’s Daughter, but I’ll check it out! Thanks, Becca! :)

I rave about The Mermaid's Daughter. It was a release from last year that didn't get much volume, but I absolutely adored it and I'm typically really picky with my retellings.
Ooh, it sounds really interesting! I've also been dying to read Everless, by the way! (I didn't notice you mentioned it in your first comment. Haha)

I have Hollow City on my tbr, and have been meaning to finish it some time! I’ve heard a few mixed reviews for the series, but I enjoyed the first book a lot. I just looked up the Black Magician trilogy and it sounds interesting! I’ve added it to my to-read. Thanks!
