Richard Eyres (richardeyres) In preparation for the SyFy series and the fact this series seems to have a great following in this group, I decided to read Leviathan Wakes (I bought it in an Amazon deal ages ago). Amazing, 5 star read for me.

I loved the feel and story telling of this book. Having characters that I can invest in is a massive plus for me in any book. I was not disappointed with the characters here. They were all fleshed out with positives and flaws. I liked the interactions, especially Holden and his crew. I liked the fact that they had grey areas, as well as strong morals.

While I will read the next book without a doubt, my question is this...
Do the remainder books keep a similar feel about them? I know the second book increases the POV from 2 to 4 - but are the characters still well fleshed out?

I think the characters in Caliban's War are even better. Bobbie and Avasarala are among my favorites from the series.

I like the POVs in books 3/4 less than in the first 2, but you always have Holden and crew at least.

That said, I'd definitely say in all four books they do a good job fleshing the characters out, and I'd be surprised if you don't like book 2. I think that's the best of the series so far.

Richard Eyres (richardeyres) Excellent, tho i find it hard to believe the second book can be better than the first :)

Alex, i am the type of reader that will read all the material that is out there for a specific author/world. There are a couple of anthologies recently released that i still need to get.
I have most of the Powder Mage stuff (currently reading Servant of the Crown). I am certain to get these novellas as soon as possible.

Looks like Caliban's War just got promoted to be purchased once pay day arrives.
