Wow I can't believe she is not listed yet. Ms. Chadwick's attention to detail is wonderful. She does much reseach for each book. Her William Marshall and Eleanor of Aquitaine are top notch. You get to know the characters and you understand what it was like to live the time period. I highly recommend all her books.

She is one of my favorite historical fiction authors. I haven’t read her Eleanor trilogy yet but it’s on my list. I love her Marshal series.
I would like to read more of her books. I really enjoyed the Eleanor trilogy, but have yet to read the Marshal books. My library does have them though so I'm planning to start them this year.
Enjoyed
The Summer Queen by Elizabeth Chadwick very much. Want to read more of her books. Collected a set of her books 5 years back but yet to read them!
I have just begun my first Chadwick book, Lady of the English, about the Empress Mathilda (Eleanor of Aquitaine's mother-in-law). The glowing comments about the author increase my anticipation. Mathilda is my 28th great-grandmother; and so little is written about her, so I am hoping that this novel is strong.

I enjoyed that one very much but I would say my favorite book about her is When Christ and His Saints Slept. If you haven’t already read that one I would highly recommend it.

This is the only book of hers I've read, but I really liked it and want to read more by her.

I loved Chadwick's William Marshall books, but I haven't gotten around to any of her other books. Just too busy. But I cried when Marshall died. Very sad.

Yes I know. I was just mentioning it to Debra in case she was interested in other books about Empress Mathilda as she mentioned that there aren’t a lot of books written about her. :-)
