Comments included:
There were cool back ground details in the signs. Some felt the exaggerated artwork was better than the writing; it was amusing but a bit formulaic. The tongue in cheek humor didn’t always land. There were too many jerks and not enough people to root for. Some were bothered by the man eating the dog. The art style reminded some of us of “Invader Zim” and “I Hate Fairyland”. A story with a similar idea of eating memories, but we thought was better executed was “I, Zombie” The concept of "food being outlawed" was also done in Kim Harrison's Hollows Series, and one of us thought she did it better. We could see why the Chew comic series would have been more engaging during the swine flu of 2009.
