Shelf Indulgence Book Club discussion

This month we are reading Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli! Our live show will be Saturday February 24 at 6pm Pacific/8pm Central on Hannah's YouTube channel TheRainyReader.

Ok I am flying through this! I can definitely see how this is turning into a movie.

Did you all feel confused around page 70 something. It talked about leaving leah at the dance but there wasn't anything about that. I didn't like that they were referencing something that we didn't get to see.

I am loving Leah as a character and I'm majorly hyped for her new book coming out. Apparently she has known she was bi since she was 12 which is making me look at her character with a different light than I think I would have been if I didn't know this info.

Small gripe but it kills me every time the say THE tumblr... it's just tumblr.

This book reads so quickly!! I’m really excited for the movie! I adore Simon! I love that it’s in first person and we get to see more of Simon’s humor. He’s really funny.

I also love the relationship between Simon and his family. I love that he is close with this siblings.

I want to see more between Simon and his friends. I feel like we have a good development between Simon and Abby but I would love to see more between Simon/Leah and Simon/Nick.

Omg Hannah I agree! If Blue is Martin...! But I don’t think he will be. I also hope it’s someone we’ve been introduced to already and not a random character we will meet at the end. I like trying to guess. (We better learn who Blue is! Haha).

This was a good choice for February’s book. I’ve been in a HUGE reading slump and just now managed to pick this up. However, I’ve flown through the first ten chapters.

P.S. I definitely don’t think it’s Martin.
